Hubcentric Spacers

I've been researching wheel spacers due to coming across some really light and inexpensive race wheels made by Enkei. The offsets would require hubcentric spacers and the bores for the wheels are 72.6 mm.

In my search I found a company by the name of Motorsport Tech here in the USA that can custom make them and he uses Alcoa 6061t6 billet aluminum. Just thought I'd pass along the info.

In the mean time I came across some 2001 Corvette Z06 forged Speedline wheels for my car. They are only 1/2 lb heavier than the Enkei's and for $600 I couldn't pass.

I'm finally going to get 315's in the rear of my car :D

Right on Gae!

Thanks Ron, I'm pretty stoked. Picking up the wheels tonight and then they will get sent out for powder coating. Going with gloss black with a clear over the top.

Car gets dropped off Monday to begin mini tub work. I'll post pic's probably some time next week

All right, so I couldn't wait to post the wheels. $600 with tires and they are in great shape. Rears are 325 Michelon Pilots 140 tread wear and front are Good year F1's with 120 tread wear. I wont need the tires but the rears will work well for mock up on the tubs.

The fronts weight 19.6 lbs each and the rears are 21.6. Not bad for an OEM wheel!

Looks like I'm going to need 1 1/2" spacers for the rear and 2" for the front.

What is the price for their spacers?

Wheels

What a great deal on the wheels/tires. Is there a place that I can find a deal like that? Or is this one of those lucky breaks?
Marco

I think the deal on the wheels was a lucky break because I see them on ebay at an average of $200 a pop.

I'm in the middle of ordering the spacers right now and it looks like it will be $200 plus tax and shipping through his online order form but I want to talk to him on the phone before I sign the dotted line.

^ you can also find deals on LS1tech and corvette forums...

Email me some pictures when you get the spacers on! That thing looks awesome already, can't wait to see the finished product!

I am sure that you have thought about this...

but in case you have not. Lots of the C5 track guys are running 4 Z06rears. I believe that are 18x10.5 on all 4 corners. Locate 2 more rears and run 315's on all 4 corners and then you can rotate. Since yours is mostly a track car you do not need the tight steering and can place steering stops to keep them from rubbing in the front.

Check out ww.corvetteforum.com click forums, then general corvette, then auto cross and road racing section. I think there are a couple for sale in the "race parts for sale" sticky at the top of the page or down in the posts somewhere.

Thanks Payton, been dreaming about 315's up front for a long while. The cheap way out would be notching the stock subframe for tire clearance but I am seriously considering the after market subframe route. I can get away with any subframe offering a 10" wheel width and still get away with 10.5 rims with 315's due to not being afraid to roll and stretch fenders or be concerned with loc-to-loc tire rub. I guess in that respect a dedicated track car has a bit of an advantage.
