That's right guys I was telling my buddy how I sold my subframe and he wants to sell his too. The only reason he is selling is because he is switching directions with his car "69' Camaro" going (Drag Racing) and the corvette suspension isn't for drag racing! Long story short he would be willing to sell his for the same price! He has all the suspension and rack and pinion as well! He dosn't belong to Lateral-g so I told him I would try and sell it for him. feel free to call with any questions 785-969-8822

camcojb 04-27-2011 03:23 PM

Jordan, best thing to do is start a new thread for the other subframe, it'll get lost in this one. Thanks.

jschaecher 04-29-2011 06:53 AM

Fyi

Hey guys Just want to be clear only my subframe has sold not 3 as indicated else where! My buddy "John" was going to post his own add, but after he saw how certain tread are bashing people just trying to help friends out he decided just to keep trying locally (where people can come and see the product no questions asked) and no bs! He has indicated that since he is being accused of copying someone elses frame he has started to look into having someone manufacture a similar frame, so who know's may be seeing another option for C6 subframe. These will be manufactured out of a full blown Steel Fabrication shop, not a metal building behind someones home!

Piece of advace make sure when ever you buy anything that you may need to resell it is best to make sure you get a written receipt and make sure it say's paid in full! I don't want to see anyone else have to deal with the bs that we did! If you need any further details feel free to call or email.

Thanks,
Jordan

I'm guessing that you'll want to talk to Scott Mock (coolwelder62)
I believe he's the one who built the sub.

kovert 02-29-2012 09:17 PM

Yea Scott makes one ... And Jordan was making some aswell

DButler 03-01-2012 05:50 AM

Good question. Come to find out it's a little more complicated.
To confuse you even more; I'm thinking this particular frame was built by Jordan but I would PM Scott first if you're truely interested in moving forward.

Scott has the right to sell his frames however he would like.
Jordon tried to copy Scotts frames. I know this is a fact. Picture documented.
Scott isnt going to get copied anymore and so if you cant afford a whole assembly then dont bother bashing someone because you cant get what you want by strong arming them on this FORUM !!!

How many times have you competed against SCOTT or Kevin or anyone else running a SCOTT MOCK subframe and beat them?:wow: How many times have you competed at OPTIMA? :wow: Or used a Jakes frame to beat or compare..lol I dont think you have nor have you designed and built a subframe. So how can you make that statement. ????

Tom

radrambler 03-01-2012 04:05 PM

yes exactly

If that's the route people want to take why not buy AME? They are the real designers of this frame in the first place.

I don't have time to race and when it comes to design jake has the paperwork to prove it.

I'm outta this discussion just offering a choice to the OP who wants one bare without paying the 6k dollar price.

Easy Tom. Aarik is a good dude just like you and was offering his opinion. Aarik tried to buy one of Scott's frames and it didn't work out. He ended up w one of Jake's and they're both nice pieces.

coolwelder62 03-01-2012 05:09 PM

I did not get my design from Art Morrison. After I saw their frame I did like how they did the C-5/C-6 upper A-arm's and lower control arm mount's.It was a better way the I had been doing it.I have been building my own frame's since 2004.I started out using C-4 componet's.I am in the process of redesigning most of the frame. That way it will be all mine.My rails are narrower,I have been using a splined sway bar since the #2 sub frame. The art Morrison look a little better because they are bent rec.tube.Their part are Laser cut,Mine are now cut using a small CNC plasma table,Mine now have an ajustable upper shock mount, for ride ht.ajustment,Mine use 3x3 sq. tube under the car,AME use's 2.75x4 fabricated boxed tube,Mine will now using a Stock Turbo 400 trans crossmember and a Brand new DSE Rack & Pinion's and Ride tech coil over's as STD item's.I have seen a JRS sub frame and they are very WELL BUILT.I like how he does his upper a-arm mount's.I would like to say Thank you to everybody who has bought one of my frame's.I really enjoy building my own stuff and for other's.I know their are many company's out there building great product's.I hope everybody building suspenion product's has as good a time as I have building and selling.Thank's Scott M.

Hugger67RSSS 03-01-2012 05:32 PM

Just to be clear I am not bashing anyone. I said buy AME because as far as I know they are the original builder of C6 frames. I could care less what anyone buys, I offered an option that can be bought bare and has a good design.

Yes he does have the right and I'm not bashing or trying to copy any designs this is for a customer that I have and I told him that I sold frames for a guy (Jordan which I have sold for before ) and he said great cause I already have c-6 components... Well Jordan doesn't work at the same job and all my contact info was from his place of work so oh we'll .. Just trying to source a frame only guess jakes and art Morrison are my options and there within a couple hundred of each other
.. Please no pissing match were all here to build fun cars and enjoy :)

radrambler 03-01-2012 07:44 PM

no contest

I see no reason to post that Scott wont sell you a bare frame and if you had been through what he has with people trying to work him over and (also copy)to get one you would understand why i posted this ..no hard feelings

also. to Arik didnt see any reason for your statement in reference to who is better and or first.. but hey glad you bought a Jakes and good luck ...

Tom

Rick D 03-01-2012 08:32 PM

Has Scott changed the way he sell's his frame? I thought he would sell just the frame with no component? Either way I want one just can't spend that much right now!

Rick D 03-03-2012 08:59 PM

Nice talking to you today Scott, now I understand the WHOLE story. And let me just say I really don't get why people don't just try to make their own stuff. Do your home work like Scott does and then build what you want or can! I hate when you see someone build a product and then "Walmart" sends it for some R&D (ripoff & duplicat). I know if the funds are available I will be getting one of Scotts frames!

I have seen Scotts and I have see Jordan. Jordan bought a subframe from Scott and then started copying them. That was the easy part. Building the rest of the front end, keeping the bump steer out, setting up the sway bars, building the steering arms. Scott has everyting down corectly and Jordan does not. Instead of using a ream to make the taper in the steering arm like Scott's, Jordan uses a step drill and they look terribles. Jordan uses rebuilt rack and pinions, Scott uses a complely new rack built by Detroit Speed. What a great piece. Scott build a great piece for a good value. Jordan builds a very cheep piece only to make money. If you do not believe me call Jordan and ask him sizes, angles, or anything about his front end. He can not answer the questions. I know one guy who bought from Jordan, and had to call Scott to get his front end together. A lot of people sell things, only a few sell quality.

I couldnt have said it better myself. why save 50 bucks when it is going to cost you time money and headaches in the end when you have to get ahold of scott to figure out what you need to do to get the chassis together and setup correctly? some ppl have to learn that lesson the hard way i suppose. scott has gone out of his way to correct the problems created by jordan to help others out. point of the story is scott is a good guy and not out to get rich. he is making a quality chassis at a fair price and if you treat him right he will bend over backwards to help others out. Im not just saying this because scott is my stepdad, im saying this because i have been here for the whole ride and witnessed everything scott has been through and have seen him build and fabricate hot rod and race car parts since i was about 4 years old. scott has done his homework and is not just your average joe in overalls building parts in a shop behind his house. scott and i are both passionate about our sport and hobby and are very greatful for the great times and ppl we have met.
