Boze Wheels arrived today!!! Thanks Zak!!
Finally all the sleepless nights will end, I love my choice. Now if I can only get my rear housing back. Going tomorrow to get them mounted. I could'nt wait to snap a few pics of the wheels on the car to see how they look, you just don't see the mesh style wheels on Chevelle's, at least I don't.
To Zak at Boze, a special thanks for all the help, you saved me money and helped make the decision easier, pleasure doing business with you and will do it again. The wheels are Textured Black centers with the brushed lips. Sizes are 19 x 12 rears with a 6" BS. Fronts are 18 x 10's with 5 3/4 BS. They are absolutely a work of art. Give me a couple of weeks and I can get the car out under its on power and shoot some more pics, I'll get some tomorrow after I get the tires mounted. I know these pics aren't that good, but I had to snap a few to show somebody, I'm like a kid on Christmas morning. Now if I can just hurry up and paint this thing http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...IMG_2153-1.jpg http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...c/DSC00207.jpg http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...c/DSC00211.jpg http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...c/DSC00205.jpg |

What is that on your decklid? |
I love those! Great choice
|
Ron, what you see is on the deck lid is the fuel cell filler caps, fuel cell vents and the battery on off switch. I had to do something different. I was inspired by this pic. I didn't want to have to raise the deck lid every time I put gas in it. Around the caps is a carbon fiber panel just to accent the caps.

Nice wheels!
What color is the car going to be? |
Boze's nicest wheels  Trunk lid is very innovative. Congrats - keep pics comin'
|
Where did you get your Lemans caps from? Looks good.

Ron, Now that's the million dollar question. My mind changes every day.
Here's what I've narrowed it down to. 1) Jetstream Blue with Satin Black center stripe to match the centers of the wheels. All trim to be Brushed Aluminum look like the wheel lips. Bumpers are ether going to be body color or Brushed Aluminum painted. 2) 2011 Toyota Magnetic Grey Metallic with the same as above, but the bumpers would be body color. 3) Black with Satin Black center stripe, Satin Black trim, Satin Black bumpers Decisions, Decisions, Decision, now yesterday I saw a Honda car painted Dyno Blue Pearl that I want to go look at. The caps came off the dreaded E-Bay, I forgot the name of the Cobra website it was. |
X2!!!!

That trunklid is SLICK...

<2> for me that will look sick love the wheels awesome, are the tyres nittos??
|
Well, I got the tires mounted today, I just can't get a good picture of the car with it still in the garage. The front end still has to be lowered about an 1 1/2" to match the rear which is at ride height. Hopefully it will come out of the garage in a week or 2 and I can get some real good pics.
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...c/DSC00218.jpg In this pic, ignore the door to fender gap, I had to remove the fender to retrieve a dropped window trim clip, and I didn't want to line it back up with out all four tires on the ground. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...c/DSC00216.jpg Those rears are 345/30/19's Nitto Invo's Once again ignore the rear bumper gaps, it's just put on for the pic, all gaps on the bumpers are 3/16" just like every gap on the car, it's hell being a Machinist, your eye catches every gap if it's wrong, it just sticks out like a sore thumb. http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...c/DSC00212.jpg Working on a custom grill now to match the grills in the air intakes I made in the front bumper http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...c/DSC00202.jpg |
Do you have a build thread on this forum? You should start one, if you don't. Looks like a bad ass build.
|
Looks awesome David! Your wheels are the first set we've done with the new textured black finish. We were all really impressed here how nice the new finish came out. Thanks again for your business.

Hey Dave, that's quite a bit of progress since i seen it last month when i picked up the sway bar, very nice and keep up the good work.
|
looks good! i love the mesh wheels.
is that just primer on bare metal or did you add some filler to the body already? either way it looks really good. i'll have to pick your brain about the filling in the plate on the front bumper. i now know your pain on getting the gaps looking good....... |
Bare metal,Welding, Grinding, Welding, Grinding, Welding, Grinding, SPI Epoxy, Filler, SPI Epoxy, now this is the first coat of Turbo 2K High Build primer.

The black would go nice with the black Boze wheels but then again the blue would look killer with the black Boze wheels...sorry :willy: Have you done any renderings with each color? May help. |
