Yet another, "help me with wheels" thread
LOL, need some help folks. I'm really not that good with picking wheels... I always get buyers remorse.
Fairly set on Forgeline's... although I'm sure I could be persuaded. I'm thinking gunmetal centers with a brushed lip. Thoughts? http://www.forgeline.com/product_ima..._image-307.jpg On this car. http://www.impermanence.kungphu.com/...7-_emm4530.jpg Or maybe a frosted look... I have no clue!! :willy: http://www.forgeline.com/product_ima..._image-364.jpg I have narrowed it down... (sorta) to this wheel http://www.forgeline.com/product_ima...e_image-51.jpg |
stay with a polished or chrome lip IMO

It's a 2002 Kia Electric blue :)

Hey Max - I was in the same boat just a short time ago. The De3s (in a step lip) would look awesome and really open up the wheel well, but they only come in 19s and up. I wanted 18 max on the front so that left me w the Wc3s.
Not really a bad decision to be made here as they're both good choices, but I would also go with the polished lip on that pretty blue... |
Glad to hear your going with Forgelines.
I wanted to be sure you have seen one of our newest designs, the GX3http://www.forgeline.com/product_ima..._image-433.jpg Available 18", 19" and 20" blind bolt and I-beam spokes. Like all of our wheels it can be built to your specs and finished any color that you like. Please let me know if I can assist you in any way. |

Killer looking wheel. That wheel will look killer on your car.
I would go gun metal grey centers. Good luck! |
With the rear bumper still being chrome, emblems, and windshield moldings, I would go with either a polished of chrome outer to tie it all together. Gunmetal, brushed/cleared, or even the silver powder coated centers would look awesome. You really can go wrong with any of the Forgeline designs. They are all bad ass!
|
dont you want to do something different? Everyone is doing gun metal. I like the black w/silver. Just my $.02.

If you have to think about it that much -- then keep shopping because when you find the right one - you'll know it.
There's tons of people that can photoshop or render your choices... spend a couple bucks now and save yourself some "angst". |

Thanks for all the help fella's.
here's what I ended up with. Forgeline just came out with these bad boys. Titanium centers with a brushed lip http://www.forgeline.com/product_ima..._image-437.jpg |
Excellent choice!
We look forward to building your new Forgeline wheels Max. Thanks for your support. |
Love that wheel Max. What size(s) did you go with?

Can't wait to see them! Quote:
I went with 18x9 in front and a 18x12 in the rear. Gotta clear those giant 14" Baer brakes!! :unibrow: |

Edit: Nevermind. It's the Gx3. The pic you posted is a 20". The 18's have a little thicker spoke. Spoke to Scott who cleared it up for me! |
