I Don't Know If It's Been Done Before Or Not But I Was Thought It Would Be Cool To Know Where Your User Name Came From.

I Got Mine From The "nickname" From Local Motorcycle Club. Their Patch Is A Eagle.

Hi I got mine from mashing up "Procharged Camaro".............In the UK "bird" is slang for woman/girl and "dirty" is slang for loose or slack. I mean no dis respect. But when we "Brits" see "Dirty Bird" we read something other than I think you intended.

camcojb 06-30-2011 06:42 AM

mine was from my company name (Camco) and then my initials.

jocko124 06-30-2011 06:44 AM

Mine came from my boss when I used to work @ Mobil--He called everybody Jocko!

Ron in SoCal 06-30-2011 07:43 AM

Not sure...

waynieZ 06-30-2011 08:27 AM

MY user name is from when I was 17, they're we're two exact copy 69 Z/28's in the city Red w/Black stripes. I had one and a guy who lived 1 block away from me had the other one. We we're the same build had the same color and length hair. They called him Tony Z and I was Waynie Z. I don't understand it every time someone saw me racing, The standard reply was, IT MUST HAVE BEEN TONY!. He got me in all kind of trouble :unibrow:

I have another user name on other sites Motown 454 because of the power I'm using for my Camaro
And on for non car related sites. Shureshot That one I got from my wifes GYN We we're married 2 yrs but wanted to wait to have children and she was on the pill I was with her when the doc said she was pregnant. I said I thought they we're 99.99% safe. He said Well hello mister .01 I guess we can call you Sureshot now. So I used to say I'm good with my pistol and I don.t shoot blanks!

GregWeld 06-30-2011 08:38 AM

Um........ let me think about that.......

FreddieCougar 06-30-2011 08:40 AM

I have had my 69 Cougar since I was 16, and we have been though a lot together. At one point in the late 80's/early 90's while I was working at a Speed Shop in Seattle, I was talking to a co-worker about how difficult it was to keep track of parts and pieces while the car was apart. I had just moved for the second time while I had it disassembled, and was whining, no doubt. My friend said "what a nightmare, it's like Freddy Krueger or something....Hey! Its Freddy Cougar!" and it stuck....I hate naming cars, my mother has a name for all 6 or 7 of hers, but I am stuck with that one.

69MyWay 06-30-2011 09:05 AM

I got my screen name from Rad Rambler - ages ago. He always said he wanted a personal tag for his car that said 69MyWay - It just kind of stuck with me and when I was building my 69 Vette I borrowed the idea and ran with it. Since then and after I've owned several 1969 models - so it just works.

70rs 06-30-2011 09:13 AM

I've been called a lot of names that I shouldn't re print here. But my screen name only came about because I am just not very creative.

ccracin 06-30-2011 09:19 AM

My Dad and I started racing Stock cars about the time I got my first email account years ago. We called ourselves C&C Racing. Back in the early days of dial up etc. there were some pretty strict rules on user names. Length, characters, etc. So C&C Racing became CCRACIN and it has stuck ever since.

MoonMan 06-30-2011 09:22 AM

My last name is Moon...friend's call me Moon Man so that's what I went with.

214Chevy 06-30-2011 09:36 AM

Mines is just a plain ole name. My first car is my Chevelle and it had a big, beefy 509 c.i. big block in it.

Bryan O 06-30-2011 10:55 AM

Arrrgh! Shiver me timbers, bucko. I can't find me eyeball!

Garage Dog 65 06-30-2011 12:42 PM

Garage Dog

Garage Dog - picked it up after talking to Smokey Yunick at Indy one year while I was in high school (you might know the story about his beloved hounds - Junk Yard being with him at the track that year). I had noticed that every hot rod, race shop, body shop, fab shop and garage that I went to had 1 or several dogs that were always there hanging around, checking out what was going on and always had a great attitude with tail wagging - no matter how bad the project or day was going.

I also really enjoy going to different shops and garages to meet people and see what they are doing and learn new stuff - and I'm always amazed at how open, friendly and helpful everyone is, and how close knit of a community there is in this industry/sport/hobby. I've always been the most comfortable in a shop or garage environment and greatly enjoy the time spent there. (especially with Heat, Stereo, Cable TV and a Fridge !)

65 is just because someone had the base name -- so I threw 65 on the end for my 65 Porsche 356G project.

Lat-G is like a virtual garage to me with a bunch of really cool builds, cars and great people. It's very comfortable here !! Jim

Hulley 06-30-2011 01:18 PM

My last name is Hull and everybody on my team when I played ice hockey called me "Hulley". I kinda like it.

Xplosiv 06-30-2011 03:22 PM

I bought a C4 corvette in high school and came up with the name joking among my friends for liscence plate ideas. (C4, explosive = xplosiv, get it?). Then my c4 ended up getting stolen and wrecked.

Lenie 06-30-2011 04:46 PM

Ummgawa 06-30-2011 06:24 PM

I thought Ummgawa was a command Tarzan (Johnny Weissmuller) once gave to an Elephant. I thought it meant "kneel down so I can mount you". Or am I getting that mixed up with a prison movie!!!!LOL! Great name!!!

awr68 07-02-2011 09:46 AM

DETON8R 07-03-2011 08:40 AM

My Job - and my Project Car's Project Name

I chose my handle from my Project Car's name, and because I work with explosives in my career. See my project build for a few other associations between the car and the project name.

Love this one, the play on words and Acronyms is AWESOME. Wish I would have thought of it myself.... Maybe that will need C4 Vette to be a future project, since I love the idea of explosives in my projects.

Just not sure how I'm going to do keep explosives in the name of the car with the next planned project, a 65 Volvo P1800.

wheres pics of it?

Shmoov69 08-06-2012 09:58 PM

High school....MANY years ago!! LOL!

Some of my friends slang of "smooth 69", also the tags on the car.

On the HAMB I am GONMAD, which are the 58's plates. Friends were wondering if I was crazy to buy a wagon without kids (at the time). Also fits with it being a Nomad.

Gonna' use that one :unibrow:

FETorino 08-06-2012 10:22 PM

The car really takes on a life of it's own stealing $$ out of my wallet and occupying so much of my time. The online identity is really about the car. I'm just the scribe signing its posts.

intocarss 08-06-2012 10:57 PM

People I grew up with and haven't seen in a while always ask "are you still into cars" and I am. the second S, is for Chevy SS's. My other screen name is Real3fann

Z10ROD 08-07-2012 03:31 PM

started on camaros.net my first camaro was a Z10 and my name is Rodney

Ketzer 08-07-2012 07:15 PM

Ketzer is German for heretic. I used to have several old VWs and they were not traditional. The VW camp is full of purists (a-holes) and they are very quick to judge. I love purists, like shooting fish in a barrel.

Mine took a lot of time, effort, and creativity. ;)
I had always wanted a Third-Gen Camaro since I was a kid. Growing up in the 80's and 90's had a great influence on that, but I couldn't afford the insurance back then. :_paranoid
