Complete 69 Camaro Carbon Fiber Body!

OK, boys and girls I heard rumors for the last few years but haven't seen anything yet. Is somebody actually working on this or is this just another myth?

If that's true that would be the baddest, lightest 69 in the universe...... Just sayin

I bet it looks sick if it does exist. I would to see this as well. And I bet it would cost some serious coin too.

I use to have a picture of it, I'll see if I can dig it up.

you couldnt afford to mass produce it and sell any they would be 50k i bet for a body.

A friend of mine has a complete carbon fiber body 57 Corvette... the entire body weighs 97 lbs or something ridiculous like that. It's on a tube chassis with an LS7...

Super long convoluted story with at least two answers. The green and white car is something I designed a long time ago for a company called Evolution Motorsports which was converted to the 3D rendering by a guy in the UK and the buck shown in Go With Solo's blog is sitting in a barn in GA rotting away because the project was stillborn. Solo's co-worker is building a sheetmetal car based on many of the design cues I came up with for the carbon car but any carbon on the car will likely be off the shelf Anvil pieces. The other carbon Camaro I've heard about was built by Downs who has specialized in composite street rod bodies for years and they are who made the body of the super radical 69 at Columbus this year with the lexan roof panel that did not make the SMOY Top 5 because it was late on Friday morning. I heard that was one of the very few Camaro bodies they actually made.

Think you could snag some spy shots so we can have a thread about the baddest '57 'Vette in the entire universe?

Matt
