Baileigh or Mittler bead roller

I've been looking into bead rollers and have narrowed it down to Mittler or Baileigh. Does anyone here have experience with both? If so do you have a prefrence? I'm looking at the 24 or 36 models.

Is it motor strength that will not allow you to do 16 ga. or deflection?

Yes I saw the new baileigh and was drooling over it. Unfortunately it's out of my price range. Which mittler are you using for 16 ga. ?

Reviving an old thread looking for bead roller info...

I'm looking for something mostly for putting a bead on the end of tubing. Anyone have anything special they would recommend?

These work on aluminum.

Then of course the debate... spend $300 for this one or spend a little more and get one with a throat in case I decide to try rolling panels some day. I'm assuming this one can do tubing ends as well as handling panels?

Anybody used one of these? Ship date of 8/31-- over a month so may not even be available.

If a bead roller is a possibility why not get this?
http://www.mittlerbros.com/index.php...eavy-duty.html

with this
http://www.mittlerbros.com/index.php...ad-roller.html

You will have a much more versatile set up as this will allow you to bead panels also. I ended up getting the 36 inch Mittler with the industrial motor and love it.

Back to the question that I need to answer on whether I would use it enough to justfy the $600 price tag for the roller and die set. Right now the only thing I would use it for the forseeable future is rolling the ends of tubing as I really don't do much sheet metal work. If that JEGS roller was available it would already be ordered. Probably going to end up with the Baleigh tubing roller...

Thanks for the info guys!

Thanks to Shane at Baleigh for pointing me in the right direction.

Turns out everything I'm rolling is .065 which is over capacity for their roller so instead of selling me something that would break he pointed me to one of their competitors that sells a higher capacity product.

Downside is that now instead of $300 I'm looking at $550 including the vise mount... If you want to play... you gotta pay!

Here we go again.... PM sent to Shane... after walking the floor at SEMA looking at the pro-touring cars the panel bead roller is coming sooner rather than later.
