68 Firebird "the HULK"

Just sharing my project.

It's a rustbucket 68, as you can see from the following pics:

BEFORE:

As you can see, it's clearly a rustbucket on wheels.

I'll be dropping in a SBC350 due to the limited number of poncho parts where I'm from, and eventually I'll go for an LS. I plan on getting new suspension upgrades, hopefully from Hotchkis. These plans will depend on me getting a reliable (and cheap:D ) shipper hopefully within the coming months (I don't even have a rear bumper yet, and I can't find any here:( ).

Exterior will mostly be stock, thinking of running 15" TT D series on it. Interior will not deviate much from stock though, except for the gauges (I don't have any as this was formerly used as a parts car) and safer seats.

Hopefully I get everything right the first time:unibrow:

I'm done with the bodywork, paint has yet to be topped off with clear coat as I'm still waiting for the shop to finish my engine.

SO FAR (rims not mine):

The money shots:

I don't really plan on flipping this, that's why I'm trying to do everything right, and slowly but surely. I'd rather take the time to earn the money and do everything the way I want it done than scrimp on some just to have a "done" firebird.

Wish me luck!

Thanks for the compliments.

It took 6 months for the shop to finish body repair and paint, things are gonna be a bit slower now since I'm gonna have to start sourcing some components abroad.

Engine is being worked on as we speak, although it'll take about 4 weeks to finish.

Nice color choice. What are your plans for the car, engine, suspension, etc?

thanks trey:)

nice TA too, only a handful of those here.

i plan to put in a 350sbc initially, them step up to an LS eventually. a hotchkis tvs is part of my wishlist, just sorting out everything else i would need to ship in as much as i can at one time.

wish i was doing my build there where parts are in abundance. the hassle of shipping-in stuff here makes it very easy for me to procrastinate:lol:

I had a number of international customers so I know your pain. Patience is most definitely required. Good luck with the build.

Really? What's your business, if you don't mind? Pardon my ignorance, just a newbie.

Looks great. I just painted a 73 Mustang a couple years ago almost the EXACT same color. What color is that? Is that basecoat clearcoat or acrylic enamel? Its going to look really good once sanded and buffed. Makes a huge difference.
