I haven't seen your Vovlvo before but I like it ALOT!!! Is the body all metal or is it glass? Any specs on it?

Its all steel with the exception of the front fascia.

Short list of mods: L92 with port work and cam, manual valve body 4l80, 9", coleman fabbed spindles, wilwoods, kinesis 18x13r 18x9f, runs mid 10's at 5000' elevation, lots of pdx, hpde, hod experience, autocrossed 6 classes over the last 10 years.

Its going to sema so I haven't had time to upload build pics, I will get to it after the show.

I've been building it for a decade. I autocrossed it all original, about 20 seconds slower than the next slowest car. Things just progressed from there, all iron 383 with a Q-jet (ftw) then TFS heads and a roller cam. I broke every volvo diff I could find and had to go to a 9". Then I folded up the front suspension and retrofitted supra uneven A-arm stuff on it. A nasty 406 with nitrous and circle track front suspension went in. I took an air chisel to the fenders to fit 17" centerlines. I drove it "swamp buggy" style while I figured out how to make it fast. It got fast then I made it pretty (for a volvo...squint and it almost looks good). Now its got the ls, fresh paint, tunes, such a blast to drive!

Really cool car! I saw you pullin out of the Hotel in Pahrump the night before the Optima Challenge, Johnny Law right behind you! That thing sounded sooo good in the otherwise quiet desert town. How'd it do on Saturday?

The race was fantastic. I wish I could drive, the car wanted to go faster than I did. Upper middle pack in everything but the brake challenge. I was trying to use the nitrous and couldn't get consistent. I've been trying to even out the flat spots ever since.
