Good God!!!!

From the build pics on their FB page, it looks like this is built with track intentions but who in their right mind would do it? 740hp, 110+ Octane ??? :wow:

preston 11-03-2011 03:35 PM

They don't have a build thread on one of the forums ?

I'm a Mustang expert and I"m having a hard time seeing the widening. I can see it in the 1/4's but barely visible on the front fenders - job well done. I though several times about widening my car vs the flares, but always intended to do it through the center, not the fenders.

Love to see more details on this car, sigh, I guess I will have to hijack my wife's FB account.

Thats a guy named Greg's car.

Dick and John from Best of Show did that car. Greg also did a bunch of stuff himself. I got to see that car get built. Its amazing!!!!!!

Payton King 11-04-2011 07:01 AM

Great looking car above

but if it is widened, that has to be the most subtle job I have ever seen. They must have split the car down the center and added it in the middle

Vegas69 11-04-2011 08:09 AM

Ring bros Mustang is Sick!

Yeah I can't quite figure it out either - in fact I stopped and studied a '65 fastback in the parking lot yesterday after looking at these photos. What I am concentrating on is the width of the top of the door character line where the side view mirror mounts, and I cannot see any difference from stock. If the fender was widened 2" each it would need to be wider than the windshield by stock + 2", and that would have to be noticeable. I'm positive that the greenhouse and grille are not 4" wider either. But it says right on the back of the car "65+4" and from that angle the quarters do look like their top surface is wider. Maybe that two tone paint job is really tricking our eyes or something. I'm very disappointed there isn't a 200+ photo build thread on this car !

Be nice to hear some details about that engine as well, although I guess the answer is "giant solid roller cam, 13.5:1 CR, TEA ported TFS-R heads"

Payton King 11-04-2011 11:18 AM

This has to be my favorite car they have done

And I am a 69 Camaro guy. Would love to see some build pics.

Rybar 11-04-2011 12:41 PM

Yup, I'm really liking that Mustang. Also wish there was a build thread posted on it.

DIGI-TAILS 11-04-2011 12:47 PM

very nice build... :)

preston 11-04-2011 12:49 PM

Okay in this photo now I can see it.

http://mustangsdaily.com/blog/wp-con...er-mustang.jpg

Boy that comes across nice - I'm surprised the doors don't look goofier. I shied away from this approach because that is very difficult to widen the doors and have it come out right, not to mention the door hinge relationship and avoiding the problem of the door peak hitting the fender (although this peak is more pronounced on my '67). And of course I would have had to widen each fender 6" no 2". Now that would have looked goofy !

DIGI-TAILS 11-04-2011 01:04 PM

thanks for the update!!! :)

BEST CAR IN THE SHOW.....

good Gawd gentlemen!!! That is ridiculous!!!

tellyv 11-04-2011 02:34 PM

We widened the car in the sides instead of the center, 2" per side the greenhouse stayed the same along with the hood, trunk and the glass. I'm sure Stacy will make a build thread when she gets back from sema.

The stretch is so subtle I had to go out and look at mine to see were it was widened. Great job.
Mike
