BADDEST 68 Camaro in the UNIVERSE for 2011 SEMA
I have got to hand it to Chris and his crew. You guys did an outstanding job! I love everything about the build. Just a kick ass job. The only thing I wish was that it was inside the convetion center and that I had more room to stand back and admire the body from a distance.
http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11029.jpg The Billet grill was a work of art! Had I not known it was fab, I would had just gazed over. This car had so much detail. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11036.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...ema11024-1.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11019.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11018.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11020.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11021.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11025.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11033.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11232.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11028.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11026.jpg http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/.../Sema11032.jpg It's hard to tell from the picture but the orange line is the measuring glass for the dry sump tank eliminating the need for a dip stick in the engine bay.. http://i1231.photobucket.com/albums/...Sema111035.jpg This car was very well thought out, full of thoughtful detail throughout the entire build. Chris congrats again on a major accomplishment! You guys should be PROUD!!! |
:faint:

Nice! Ant shots of the wheels?
What's the deal with the "carpet"? looks weird. |
any info on the tail lights? Looks like they have a flush look to them
|
Absolutely stunning! I shocked it didnt get an invite inside. Theres always next year. They better get busy on that Mustang.
|
Bring a doctor! That Camaro has a severe case of the awesomes.
|

Here you go. What a car. I bet that 99% of the folks who looked it over, did not notice that the quarters were stretched. Just an incredible job by Chris and the crew at JCG. http://inlinethumb41.webshots.com/49...600x600Q85.jpg |

Built by JCG in-house. http://inlinethumb27.webshots.com/39...600x600Q85.jpg |
 What a killer car. This car is out of this world under the hood. I can only imagine the time and headaches that went into this car. Cris brought it over last night to keep it safe overnight and out of the rain. The dumbass brought it to Vegas on an open trailer. :unibrow: I didn't notice the fender stretch until someone mentioned it while we were talking shop.
|
I love those tail lights and want them for my ride!!
|
Killer car for sure! It was hard to get good pics of the car because of where it was parked and i also only had my iphone to take pics.Talked with chris for a few minutes and he is a very tallented guy! Great talking to him and the car was just perfect!

I need to pick my jaw up off the floor:hail: :hail:
Is that 69 dash? |
Build detail and quality are just superb!
I agree with everyone about the car being inside. Someone missed it by not inviting JCG into their booth.... What a shame. Not only do these guys build nice stuff -- THEY are good guys.  |

Thank you Al.. It was great meeting you & your boys.. & thank you for all the props on the car.. ME & the crew were very happy with the out come.. The reason for being outside is because we had to attend a HRIA banquet..
Later I will post pics with my story behine SEMA 2011.. I have asked the crew how were are gonna top this 68 for next year.. It is looking like a 70 Z28 or 70 Mustang! Was my pleasure! Sorry I didn't find a better place for us all.... NEXT YEAR I promise to raise my game! LOL That's the problem with SEMA - and a "weekend" in Vegas.... if you don't have reservations at some place you KNOW... and you never know who's "in or out" until the texts start flying. I think next year I'm just going to make reservations for 10+ people every night - and anyone that is there eats and the rest can pack sand! HAHAHAHAHAHA :woot: |

JCG First SEMA Experience
This was our first rodeo ride for building a car for SEMA.. What an experience it was .. We were still doing interior work on Sunday @ 3 PM loading & leaving @ 4 PM.. It was a long week but well worth it.. Got to meet allot of great people that have been following our work on Lat-G..
This car did great for us in more ways than I can imagine.. I have to thank the owner who allowed me to live vicariously thru to him to build my dream car.. “MY CREW” I could have not done it without them.. They are my biggest asset to what we can build @ JCG.. Here are some pics of where we were staged for SEMA & the HRIA banquet .. http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1681.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1669.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1671.jpg I need to also thank Greg Weld for coming out of retirement for a week & keeping the car clean for us.. For once he could reach the roof of a car with a duster! http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1673.jpg Leaving SEMA in the rain! Well.. It was a good thing we had functional wipers.. The owner & I left SEMA for a test drive around Vegas in the rain.. What the hell! It will be his daily driver when I ship it back to Tennessee! What a better way to proof out if she can handle a small rain storm.. http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1689.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1682.jpg Friday night after we leave SEMA.. Me and the crew are drawing straws on who is going to be the first one to be on guard duty.. We brought the car in open trailer.. It is a race car/daily driver! I did not want to be out in the cold/rain .. So I call Todd AKA Vegas69 to see if I can store my car in his garage for the night.. first words out of his mouth “ dumb ass” who brings a car to SEMA in a open trailer.. Just shrugged my shoulders & laughed! So we are off again driving to Todd’s house @ night.. in the rain! Trying to read the txt message that Todd sent me with driving directions.. As always.. I still got lost! We passed the exit about 10 miles.. All I can say is the little 68 proofed that she handle the rain.. Pic of the car when we arrived @ Todd’s.. I was not even their for 5 minutes.. OPEN the hood.. As we all know Todd is a man of very little words.. “ICE MAN” http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1690.jpg Get to Todd’s house Saturday morning to pick up the car.. to head off to Optima.. I promised Todd a ride in the car.. So.. instead I threw the keys to over to him.. I am waiting for the phone call on what it will take to convert his 69 to a LS engine! LMAO! After Todd’s drive I am figuring out if I really want to load the car on the trailer to head out to Optima.. I think to myself what a better way to break in the engine.. So I jump in & drive from Todd’s house over to Optima.. Her first taste of snow.. We build them to drive them! http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMAG0275.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMAG0278.jpg We arrive @ Optima & park it @ the Wilwood booth.. About 3 PM the owner STOLE the keys away from me .. & drove the 68 for the first time! Got back with a grin from ear to ear.. Car is scheduled for delivery for Christmas! We got a few things to adjust for the owner, get the car vinyl wrapped, dyno tune, a full day of track abuse @ Button Willow with Dave & Mary Pozzi @ the wheel.. Got a few photo shoots with some magazines.. We will be showing her @ the Delmar show this month... http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1694.jpg http://i1015.photobucket.com/albums/...n/IMG_1695.jpg |
Cris everything has been said that has to be said about this car!! But I have to say again you built one heck of a car there way to go!!!! Does the guy with the California duster stay with the car?He looks like a handy guy....
|
Cris,
It was very nice talking with you about this car. My jaw hit the floor on numerous items, including the one were I thought the two of you were joking with me. Simply Awsome. Folks just about everything on this car is there for a purpose. I'm assuming the carpeting was chosen for its wear characteristics. This car is going to be driven very hard and very often. There's a new player in town.  |

WELL -- What more proof do you need!!?? The photo also confirms what I've said many times --- "OLD - FAT - and SHORT". :woot: |
Thanks for the chance to take her for a ride. What a car! That Ls7 is a sweet engine. It's smooth... It's going to be one hell of a car when you get her dialed.
|
This one of the first cars we had a chance to see at SEMA this year.Over the top. the owner a awesome guy.
|
Thanks Mario! Most of us know that Greg is always willing to lend a helping hand.. great friend to us all..

Anytime, my buddy Ben about cleaned me out of PBR's but it's cheap. I could tell the girls were getting restless or we'd of really talked some cars.
|
Cris:
Fantastic. Just fantastic. That is all. |
This car merits comments on both boards. Amazing color, perfect wheel choice, dead on stance and subtle but amazing body mods. And, by the way, it's a '68. Game changer!!
|
Great story Cris... open trailer... LOL...
Bummed I missed seein you & the car. Let me know which day you go to the track (assume Willow Springs or Buttonwillow). Maybe I'll try to join. Oh... Todd... did you bounce off the rev limiter when you were around the corner? :unibrow: |
There were a few hundred rpm to spare.
|
I agree with everyone else here! This camaro is amazing!!
I too took my car to Todds from Sema!! lol... Thats the place to be to make sure she is ready to hit the road!! |
Very, very nice.
Great job Cris and crew! |
