Looks like a really nice car and should be a good test of the PT market. GLWS!

That would be unbelievable. That will be some anticipation for that to happen.

I think you should do very well.

You've got a great time slot, and there really aren't that many nice pro-touring type Camaro's this year.

Alot of nice custom early Vette's and Tri 5's.

Takes a pilots license and about half an hour..... :hail:

Van B 01-04-2012 06:11 PM

From what I remember from Vegas, it takes a few minutes lead time to start that mutha up. It would be cool to see.

Stuart Adams 01-04-2012 08:45 PM

That car will blast a few toupee's off some of those old coots, watch out for some wigs too.

89 RS 01-15-2012 11:44 AM

I'll be heading out, my dad and I go every year. It looks like there will be some cool cars out there this year, can't wait! Charley, I'll be looking forward to seeing that '55 of yours, pretty wicked.

Bill, that '69 of yours is pretty damn cool. I remember seeing it at the Fred Gibbs Memorial this year up in La Harpe.

Good luck to everybody that is selling, hopefully the auction goes your way.

Thanks Corey, you posted the pictures of the Fred Gibb show, right? I leave tomorrow. Very pumped about going. See ya there!

hifi875 01-17-2012 11:28 AM

I will be there tomorrow afternoon. Ready to go!

GregWeld 01-17-2012 11:13 PM

Good luck with the sale Charley!!

'55 Attack -- should be fun to watch the bidding!

Sorry I'm not there with ya!

hifi875 01-20-2012 12:22 AM

Big crowd today. Some high prices and low prices. Pt camaro convertible w ls2 brought 100k which I thought was high in todays market. Then right after it a nice green pt camaro only brought 70.

My brother and I built that green '69. Glad you liked it. :)

Stuart Adams 01-20-2012 03:04 PM

Should be a couple PT cars selling for over 200K in the next two days IMO.

Stuart Adams 01-20-2012 04:57 PM

Shelby supersnake for 80K, ouch. Low mile car. Fast car. Someone got a great car for cheap.

GregWeld 01-20-2012 05:04 PM

Except that's 88 Grand ---- 'cause you posted the hammer price -- then you have to ADD 10% plus pro shipping home -- so now it's 90K....

:D

Stuart Adams 01-20-2012 05:54 PM

Yeah it does add up quick.

GregWeld 01-20-2012 06:39 PM

So far -- the best one was the $220K bid on the Eleanor Mustang (Thursday) -- and the seller is laughing his head off and saying it cost him $85K to build.... If I'm the buyer.... I'm not feeling real bright.

ironworks 01-20-2012 07:15 PM

I saw the 55 and a 66-67 nova went for 145 with buyer premium. That's pretty good money for those cars.

Tomorrow night will be interesting. Too bad I have to work tomorrow.

GregWeld 01-20-2012 08:32 PM

Personally I'm happy to see the return of "STUPID BIDDING".... it makes it a lot more fun to watch.

Wow that is just WE TODD IT. No one said the money at BJ was smart money. That gets proven a lot.

I didn't watch, but I'll bet those announcers said "Well Bought!"

No -- they were making fun of the bids the entire time -- saying things like -- for that money you could build TWO of these... and that sort of thing.

That's funny because I haven't watch much this week but I've watched a lot in the past and I get so tired of the well bought lines they overuse on anything and everything.... maybe they are coming around. I doubt it.

hifi875 01-21-2012 12:15 AM

Corvette full on custom w ls3 brought $325k. Big number. The car I'm with goes thru tomorrow nite.

hifi875 01-21-2012 12:21 AM

Another Eleanor went thru just as nice as last nites $220k piece but it only brought $75. Bet the seller was sick. I was looking at it today and he was saying this isn't the one that sold last night. I think he wishes that was his car

James OLC 01-21-2012 07:23 PM

Really? This has to be a joke with Speed at this point. How can this happen every single flipping time? It has to be on purpose... It just can't be an accident... We should call it the Lat-G curse...

unbelievable. As soon as the Ring Bros car comes up they shut off coverage for a bunch of bs time filling crap............... Said it went for $245K, probably including commission.

CarterHickmanDesigns 01-21-2012 07:28 PM

Bj site says $269,500.00

Van B 01-21-2012 07:29 PM

Every time. My wife is laughing at me cause I was going off.

Autokraft 01-21-2012 07:31 PM

Apparently interviewing Jay Leno was more important??:(
