Rich was having computer problems so he asked me to post for him.

Come on down to Garlic City and join us for some laughs, beverages, Grillworks, and bench racing on Saturday Jan 7. Rich is hosting his monthly car club meeting at his shop (Monterey Bay Trans Am Racing Club) so wanted to invite local Lateral G members to come by as well.

Should be some killer cars there. This one will likely be there -- Rich built it in 2009-2010:

Either bottled water or Diet Pepsi and make sure that bathroom is spotless. You making those Trans-Am posers drive their cars to the meeting?? Doubt any of 'em will do it as you do know the ignition systems suddenly quit and fuel pumps pump no more once their cars get remotely close to any city limit on the Monterey Peninsula.

Just threw some Sparco 3 point harnesses in the White Knight(thanks for the name Dave!) so she's 100% legal now(well maybe not the cage) but my son might have a wrestling tournament to go to.

Thanks Mary, bet it was great. Looking forward to seeing some pics.

I squeaked out of work and took my son to his first wrestling tournament of the season and I'm glad I did. He won his first match, lost his second, and then won his third. When it came time for his fourth match my little buddy was welling up and saying he was too tired to wrestle another match. I consoled and comforted him and when it was time I talked him up. He ended up winning his fourth match and took home a third place medal!! He was happy and I was proud!!
It's times like these that remind me how much I need to be there for them.

Yeah it was a great turnout. Great selection of cars and a beautiful January day. Mary -- post a pic of that BBQ rig if you have one. That thing was Best of Show I thought. :D

I didn't take any pics (many were) but I did take an iphone video of Scott's first drive in his 68 with 600 hp small block and all DSE underneath. They are still putting finishing touches on it, but it looks and sounds killer. :thumbsup:

Them Iphones take some narrow vids(still looked killer though) but I'll tell ya what, the quality of sound was fricken awesome. Listening to that thing idle as it pulled up and then take off.............that thing sounds sweet!! :thumbsup:

Yeah I forgot to turn the phone sideways. I rarely upload iphone vids to youtube so forgot about that one. The sound was 90% of the goal tho. :thumbsup:

Real nice seeing everybody (club seems very happy minus a certain member :_paranoid ) so it was very nice to see all the smiles.

Next time,make it a pot-luck and let others bring some side dishes so you guys don't have to do it all.

Shop looked very good (man,that bathroom sure smelled pretty,lol:lol: ) ...and the Smokey Yunick cross-ram motor is off the charts...!:unibrow:

Thanks for hosting it man,couldn't have asked for a better turnout or better weather.

PS: Nice burnouts on the way out...Kim really lit 'em up in that BBC '69 Corvette! CAN YOU SAY SIDEWAYS?
