ID Luxury vs. HRE
Here are the 2 wheels that I am wanting. Can someone tell me the difference in these 2 wheels? I know there are suttle differences in the design, but they are extremely similar. Is one better quality than the other?

top one looks better. The spokes look longer
|
I think this HRE has longer spokes than the other HRE above?

you might check price to see if the are even on the same planet. I would choose HRE everytime unless its a $$$$ issue.
|
I would go HRE all day long. I am not a big fan of anything made by Intro and I will leave it at that.
|
HRE is quite a bit cheaper!
|
Support an American business and buy a set of Forgelines.
|
if you have to pick one, definitely go with hre. they make a great wheel. otherwise what he said^^^^^

Bunch of PETA loving..... Haha I thought they were euro. Hre's are nice. Just to rich for my blood.
|
Definitely HRE.... excellent quality... and can take a curb shot at 40 mph and still turn true. :_paranoid
HRE is as expensive as they are in part BECAUSE they are made in Kalifornia. If they were Euro, they would be cheaper! Or Forgelines are good too. :P |
Forgeline DE3P/S has a similiar look, optional hidden HW, etc. Actually my favorite wheel until they came out with the RB3.

I don't know where you priced them, but they are far more expensive than Intro's. HRE is definately a cut above the rest. Intro is no where near the quality of HRE. As mentioned, go with HRE if money is not a problem. Then secondly, I would choose Forgeline. No Intro's for me. And HRE is made in the USA. |
What about Formula 43's and they are mark stielow approved...

I was wrong on the pricing. HRE is more expensive. Thanks for all of the help and info.
Those Forgelines are a good looking wheel too! Too many choices... |
I like the HRE way better.
|
Hre
I was just going to say if they are higher than HRE I don't even want to know what they cost!! I love the HRE's I have FIkse now but I see HRE's in my Future!!!
|
Wheels are VERY important and also are a tough decision. If you find a wheel that you like and is a little more money, don't skimp. Buy them, every time you look at your car you see the wheels, not the tranny.
HRE is my choice between the two posted. |
Nothing wrong with my Intros (which are also Made in USA)

Man, They look good to!! how much do these go for? I like forgrline and Rushforth to!!
|
Those Intros do look good!
Now I am leaning towards Forgeline. They have two sets that I really like! And are more affordable. |
a few years back both bad penny and the one lap camaro were at tylers shop before sema and after seeing both forgeline's mesh wheel and HRE's mesh wheel right next to each other i was amazed at how nice the HRE's quality was!!! the HRE just seems to have much more defined cuts and milling details. and thats in comparison to an amazing high quality wheel like forgelines! if price doesn't play a factor i would alway choose HRE's
|
Intro vs. HRE? There's no comparison... that's apples to oranges.
Between the two, go HRE. If you want something new and different, I'll design you something in NewGen. :unibrow: |
What is sorta funny is the "buy American" commenting in this thread. All three brands mentioned (Intro, HRE, Forgeline) are made in America. Intro and HRE are in Cali, Forgeline in Ohio.
