Anyone made a sheetmetal glovebox?
 

I just roughly fab'd one up and was wondering if anyone else has done the same?

thought about doing it in aluminum and mounting my fuse panel so it flips down for easy access.

I made one thats fairly close to stock looking out of aluminum and covered it in black suede to match the rest of the interior, i didnt like the cardboard stock replacemtns they were to flimsy

both of those above look awesome, very factory looking. I'm setting my glove box for the same thing, both my PCM and fuse box, it's a little tough doing so and keeping the airbag.

don't know about the glovebox but I took this picture @ Goodguys in Pleasanton last Saturday:

Looks like Cam Douglass' old car. Did it have some horrendous looking air cleaner system on it?

Are the ends on your glovebox open or did you close them up somehow?

This is how mine turned out, Sorry its a little dirty ive been doing wood work and havent painted the dash yet.

Sorry, missed your question. The sides are open, for what it's in the glove box and its purpose, I don't think enclosing it is necessary, although it wouldn't take much.
