Sweet build, any updates?

tubbed69 06-25-2012 09:59 AM

No updates for now, should be back to work right after Columbus Goodguys show, just finished minitubbing and doing a full ls conversion and suspension change on a 69 a friend just bought,I will try to get some pictures and post, thanks for the interest really hoping to get ready for paint by fall.

Rybar 06-25-2012 05:33 PM

Looks good, what headers are you running with the DSE sub?

tubbed69 06-26-2012 06:41 PM

I used the hooker super comps but probally will change, just put a set of Kooks on one that I just finished for a friend and they were real nice.Using the 1.5" back motor mounts you have lots of room, also saw that Fesler had a new set of LS headers in stainless, hoping to see next week at Goodguys,Columbus. Also Ryan your car eally looks great.

tubbed69 08-27-2012 03:15 PM

not much for updates but finally getting back to work on body, just wanted to show these covers just got from Billet Specialties, very nice quality, should have alot more pics soon hoping to get bodywork complete over next couple monthshttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...9/P1000671.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...9/P1000670.jpg

waynieZ 08-27-2012 09:43 PM

Awesome job man, I believe you have got the Tremec TKO transmission, just wondering what hydraulic clutch master cylinder kit you are using? I realized also you are not using the hydraulic clutch master cylinder and wilwood master cylinder firewall bracket either.

Also are you using stock or a different clutch pedal to be utilized with hydraulic clutch master cylinder?

Could you please give me some input on the set up you are using and part numbers will be appreciated.

The reason why I am asking is because I have got TKO 5 speed as well mated to the LS6 engine. However, the rod connected to the hydraulic clutch master cylinder is way too long and a firewall mounting bracket was fabricated to mount the master cylinder as shown in the below photos, and I would really like to sort out this mess and have a clean install.

Your input is highly appreciated.

Finally after 5 months got back on car, picked up a set of NOS fenders that had been painted and bolted on the car, welded and smoothed core support, got doors and front clip gapped and in final prime, alot of cutting and welding to get good gaps with aftermarket doors and header panel.Hope to get on quarters and rear panel soon.http://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1331b6f2.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...ps07823133.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...ps36733070.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...psebb796c8.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...ps27fff4e3.jpghttp://i1192.photobucket.com/albums/...ps009f334f.jpg
