Great cars in those pics.
|
One of my favorite big block set ups.
|
I had lunch with Doug at GRNS and we were looking at picks of his 'Cuda parked next to a Corvette... the 'Cuda was LOWER overall and if parked along side - you couldn't see the 'Cuda. The pics don't do it justice.

I love that cuda!
Where is bob Johnson? I haven't heard anything from the good ole southern boy in awhile. |
I miss Bob too. Personally, I found him funny as hell. I know he ticked people off with his replies and was politely asked to tone it down. He doesn't like being filtered so he stopped posting. Beyond that, I haven't a clue. I don't live in Georgia any more so I don't have a chance to run into him any more either.
All the same, Greg is 100% correct. Bob's Cuda is extremely low. First time I saw it at Year One I was all over it. I had seen pictures at that point but didn't know he was going to be at the YO show. Doug's car won Riddler a few years ago. I'm not a street rodder so I can't look at it as anything more than a great looking car. Everyone else goes gaga over the build since they can see the changes. Johnson's does great work IMO. |
Big Fan,of Alan Johnson's build style.
|
Bob is hysterical --- I just think he's got better things to do than many of the rest of us....

That B400 '32 is one of my favorite Dueces ever built. It's a crazy rare car just to begin with. Perfect wheels, colors, and stance.

Thanks for all the compliments. The website hasn’t been updated in a while so I’ll post some photos of what’s just been finished and what’s in the works over the next few days.

Here is another Studebaker. We have CAD modeled the whole car. My friend Mike O’Gara from Sara Fischer Racing is lending a hand in the development. He has gotten me hooked up with a company that does the aero development for most of the Indy and Nascar teams. This is some amazing technology for finding free horsepower, insuring vehicle stability and the best traction possible on a slippery surface. The aero testing and optimization are almost complete and the chassis is underway.

Looks killer Alan , good to see you post on here

Alan can you say who has commissioned the Stud build? Just curious. I'm assuming it will be run at Bonneville at some point?
