Ever had a sequence of events

where you just wanted to call it quits w/the build......:willy: :willy: :willy: :faint:
Man, what a winter.

Beat the Bajeebahs out of something insignificant then relax and reassess the build?

Greg Weld felt like that about a car once upon a time...

Then he took it to SAR.

See, don't you feel better now Lenie?

... You mean like when you finally think you're done after bolting on new brakes to get rid of knockback, then when you proceed to take it around the block, you get hit by an old lady, less than 500 ft. from the shop to the tune almost 60k worth of damage?

you could always haul it to the "Shed" on the east side and let Mr. Weld finish it, I heard that worked for some wheel designer:unibrow:

pick it up in time for GG

More times than I have fingers and probably toes. It's one of them love/hate relationships. When in doubt, walk away for a while. You'll get bored and stumble back out there.

Never EVER have I had a setback on a build. Everything has always, always gone according to plan. Better, even. The rest of you guys must just lack skills or something. Rookies.

"Bolts onto your car with minimal skills needed, with ordinary handtools, in a weekend's afternoon....."

Okay, EVERY little project that I have ever taken on has fought me to the near death, but the satisfaction of solving the problem is one of the single best pleasures I know. Behind orgasm.

Not what's been bothering me but that would have made my stomach burn, reminds me of when Rupp got hit while driving Bad Penny after finishing his build. That would drive me to drinkin' :lateral:

I tried drinking a few margaritas but they ended up too salty after I kept crying into them.

I do know how you feel though. I picked up another project a while ago, and decided I was going to cut it all up and modify all kinds of stuff, and I was going to try to do it mostly myself. Some days I only get half an hour of work done on it before walking away. That car will probably get done one day. I just try to focus on each part rather than trying to see it as a whole car.

Don't think for a moment it ends when the build ends. We'll that is if you drive the piss out of it like they are made for...

No doubt. And the aftermarket parts can be a challenge..

Either we leave it stock, or we just live with the rough patches between severe beatings..Kinda like a Marraige..:willy:

You know, this just proves there is a bright side to everything----mostly because I ended up with the subframe---but your redesign, especially of the hood---was also a major happy face.

But, yeah--that did blow---following in the foot steps of Bad Peso---
