do you have them in 1/2-20 in black?

DriverzInc 03-07-2012 12:26 PM

Yep, sure do! Available in 1/2-20 & 12x1.5mm.

Any words of caution or downsides to going with Aluminum over a Steel unit?

DriverzInc 03-07-2012 05:45 PM

No, just get the advantage of weight savings. Because they are forged aluminum, they are a strong lug... just as strong as steel in the same situation.

coolwelder62 03-08-2012 04:27 PM

I just ordered a set of clear's for my next PT build.

DriverzInc 03-08-2012 06:56 PM

Thanks Scott!

I edited the original post, because I found out they are not available in 7/16. I can't figure that out, but for some reason, they are not.

KSBRKTRACER 03-14-2012 11:51 AM

DANGIT ...... I like them ...but I need 7/16 :(

Same here..

214Chevy 03-14-2012 12:11 PM

I want a set of these...12x1.5mm.

carbuff 03-14-2012 12:40 PM

Can you do a split set? 10 x 1/2-20 and 10 x 12x1.5?

DriverzInc 03-14-2012 01:40 PM

I am still trying to source 7/16. Unfortunately, they come in a set of 20, so I can't split. Unless there is another member that needs the same thing, then I can split them before I ship.

carbuff 03-14-2012 03:22 PM

Hey Jake, don't you need to split a set. :) Or anyone else with a set of Corvette front hubs and a 9" rear?

DriverzInc 03-15-2012 01:08 PM

Here is the silver lug

Daaang, now I want the silver ones. :unibrow: :unibrow: They'll go better with my tinted clear/brushed wheels. I'm calling tomorrow to order a set of silver 12x1.5mm.

Got mine today as well. Before I opened them, the box was so light. They are sweet and I like them. I do have one issue though. I ordered 12x1.5mm and received 1/2x20....wrong size. I'll call Jon on Monday. No biggie though, as I'm satisfied with the quality of them.

KSBRKTRACER 04-03-2012 04:06 PM

Any updates on 7/16 lugs ...?

Piston 04-04-2012 09:18 PM

I've sent a pm to Driversinc to see what's going on.

Tony_SS 04-05-2012 09:29 AM

It sounds like they've bailed... state of CA has their business as suspended..

Looks like it was set up to take a fall.. but that just my .02

I just exchanged an email w Jon last weekend. All this looks like it was going on at the time, but seems to have blown up since on the boards. The YB guys are running w it.

Hopefully Jon will respond soon. He's always stood up in the past...

JKnight 04-05-2012 10:38 AM

One of the posts by Travis on PT.com indicated the sale had fallen through. Not sure what the long-term implications of that are though...

x2

Between BOS's orders with Driverz, and the fact that my car(s) seem to go through tires all the time, not to mention a few wheel orders, I deal with Jon somewhere between once a week and once a month.

When you have a couple thousand dollars or more that have seemingly disappeared, you have every right to be concerned. The fact that Jon has been silent is even more disconcerting to all of you that aren't in regular contact, and have no idea who is behind Driverz Inc. at the moment

I think by now everyone knows that Travis walked away from buying Driverz right before things were 100 percent finalized. I didn't ask who legally controlled Driverz at that time, or details of transferring company ownership. That isn't my business. Last I talked to Jon, which was on Thursday, he said that if things came to it, he would do whatever it would take to ensure that Driverz's wound down, filled orders, and settled accounts before focusing solely on New Gen. We've all heard from a couple customers who weren't completely happy with service, but I've never heard of an incident where money was taken, or orders not placed, during the time that Jon was running Driverz. Given that it will likely end up back in his hands, I hope those with current orders might have a little more faith than before.

I apologize for jumping in as a source of second hand information, but right now, I think some information is better than none. Hopefully Jon will respond, probably after he has had a chance to catch his breath, and gather his thoughts.

Oh, and for what it is worth, Jon has almost 6K worth of my money right now.

Matt

The WidowMaker 04-05-2012 03:40 PM

i too think this will be made correct. jon wants to continue with newgen and that wont be possible with all of this behind him or in front of him.

Gsxrken 04-05-2012 08:39 PM

Wow did I dodge a bullet. I got a nice set of new gen concaves from Jon in January just before he left, and lug nuts from Tavis during the one week he sounds like he was actually at Driverz.

Tommy, what size do you need? I would sell you mine, because like I mentioned, they sent me the wrong size and since I cannot get in contact with them to return them, I need my money back before I call my c/c company to reverse the charges. I have the 1/2x20 silver ones. They were $80 shipped and I would sell them to you for $70 shipped. I don't know what brand they were. They came in a clear, unlabeled package.

KSBRKTRACER 04-06-2012 12:23 PM

I really need 7/16 but I have been thinking about upgrading to 1/2 . Would you take pay-pal ..?

Yes, but you would have to send it to me as a gift so I don't have to pay the fees since I'm already losing $10 for somebody else's BS business deal. Otherwise, you would have to pay the fees.

If anyone else knows please post up this info. I have looked for these in the past but could only find the metric size.

need to get a split set of 1/2 and 7/16s

MarkM66 04-06-2012 02:12 PM

Try ebay,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/20-PCS-1-2-2...8a3cea&vxp=mtr

No 7/16" 's

214Chevy 04-06-2012 02:20 PM

Those are the exact ones.

Vegas69 04-06-2012 03:14 PM

I'd stick with steel personally. I've had mine off and on about a 1000 times and I'd likely be on my 15th set of aluminum.

coolwelder62 04-06-2012 09:28 PM

That's a smokin deal.1/2 what I paid for mine.
