Rendering. Now you can see what I see.

I recently hired kris Horton to do a rendering for me on my project. Since the project is getting near completion, and I'll need a custom hood etc, I thought it would be a smart idea to relay exactly what I wanted. Kris did an excellent job and got everything the way I wanted it and then some.

Love the hood design. Been thinking about designing one like that for my car for a couple years now. people dont realize how much air runs through the grills of these cars(or at least it seems that way)and extracting the air in that fashion should most certainly help down force. Are you setting rear wing up like that to help move tail pan air?

Looks killer Steve! Very fitting for your build...

i hope the hood gets duplicated like that, its looks really slick!

Love it. A 2nd gen version of Bob Owens' 69.

The splitter is sick.

Are those L88 flares you incorporated?

The wing will generate about 700lbs of downforce at 200 mph in a neutral position, more when its tilted, so its up hight to get 'good air' and so I can see out the back window. Its also removeable so it doesn't have to be on all the time.
I used to have a race style fibreglass hood before I had the blower pinned down in all 4 corners and the front center. If you got over 120mph with it and took a photo from the side you would have been able to see between the fender and the hood. There is definately a lot of air getting trapped inside there.

The flares were something Kris did. My actual flares are slightly different and were done in steel. They change the look a tiny bit but I think they will work out ok. I just have to get rid of my 90's paint. lol

The hood will absolutely be done as close as possible to that picture. That will be key to making it look and work like it is suppose to.

Kris did one for me last year for my 65 mustang. He does amazing work. When I got the email with my rendering, and I opened it, I got instant goose bumps. He has a amazing way of taking what you give him in writing & turning it into art. Your car looks awsome.

Steve

I got another rendering from Kris last night. I really like the head on view.

Steve the fornt looks insane, really dig it! Not too sure about the rear spoiler design, honestly looks a bit too ricer and lines seem off, my $.01 cent

At the speeds this car will achieve he needs the downforce from that spoiler. It's a functional piece not just for looks.

I love this car function dictates form and the form has style:wow: :hail: :hail:
