Sorry - Caleb and the guys at Performance Design have that topped...

Not that I'm biased...

skatinjay27 05-20-2012 10:29 PM

i concur james:thumbsup:

Flash68 05-20-2012 10:30 PM

Trumped!

Al Moreno 05-21-2012 07:10 AM

James that is a BAD setup! For an NA application the longer runners would definitely work better. The shorter runner are meant for a FI setup.

By the way, these guys also make a similar system.

I personally like the look of using only one TB similar to Nelson's Billet intake.

GrabberGT 05-21-2012 07:22 AM

I think it might be necessary for the OLC to get one of each and do comparison to settle this. :unibrow:

ironworks 05-21-2012 07:27 AM

I doubt the Performance Design unit would fit under the hood of many street cars.

The OZMO does not have a good a lead in angle as the PD unit but it looks like it would fit under the hood. MAYBE.

214Chevy 05-21-2012 07:35 AM

I like the look of them both, but I'd rather just have a nice sheet metal intake. Too many variables in running two throttle bodies.

That's another reason I like the unit on the OP because it only has one TB. But it still gives you the look of two plenums.

Welcome to last week Al. Two members already have these. :D

I knew that Todd but, I wasn't referring to the cross ram setup. That's last weeks news, LOL. The OP is referring to a single TB setup. I don't think anybody is running that setup here yet.

FETorino 05-21-2012 09:22 AM

What float bowls do you run on your Holley for it to run in a vertical position?

Are you kidding? It only has one throttle body. We all know that if one works fine, two works better, and eight works best :unibrow:

I will concede that it is probably the the second baddest LS intake in all of Cupertino, CA though. The Ozmo cross ran one that John510 has is the baddest one in town.

Rodger, We have a customer putting the OZMO unit under the hood of a 69 Camaro we are building with him, twin turbos and all!

Thanks! At this moment I like yours better because it fits. LOL I haven't got my tb flange to clear my AC compressor yet! Al, the intake you posted belongs to Pyroboy on Camaro5. It was custom made for him. I like how it only has 1 throttle body. Less $$$ on wiring the second one.

More eye candy

He actually makes a single plenum set up that has a burst panel for boosted applications.

Greg

elitecustombody 05-21-2012 08:44 PM

Nice to know it's not a part that just looks pretty:thumbsup:

Matt@BOS 05-21-2012 11:17 PM

Good god, what kind of power would an LS make at 30lbs of boost?

Matt

I've always liked how Katech did it:

Are you finally going to break down and join us folks in the "because it looks cool" camp? because if not, stop kidding yourself, as much as you like those intakes, and as much as they probably will indeed fit under your Anvil hood, you won't be able to talk yourself into buying one until you have empirical data comparing runner length, throttle body size, port velocity, and all that other good bs

Yeah remember, Ron --- John is the only one who buys and sells more parts than you before completing the car. You should stay in 2nd place with that one. :D
