RTTC III Pics and Write up in Chevy Hardcore
http://www.chevyhardcore.com/event-c...the-coast-iii/
http://www.chevyhardcore.com/news/ru...r-1100-images/ Sean roasted me pretty good in the article---don't believe any of it. D |
Dangit, you beat me to it! I saw this on a facebook link earlier today and copied it to paste to your thread later.
__________________ Don’t be fooled by Doug Renner. To hone his driving skills and tame his fierce competitive nature, Renner also moonlights as a valet attendant at a swanky Beverly Hills Hotel. Like a switch, he’s all-game as soon as the helmet chin strap is secured. Setting the inside tire of his 6-speed-hammering ’69 Camaro on fire, Renner finished with a respectable 1:49.7 minute pass in the middle of the pack. |
LOL---my other favorite was this one; "For Saturday night, Doug Renner, a part-time RTTC cheerleader/Baja 1000 driver turned autocross superhero, took the mic and invited all the RTTC participants back to his house for a west coast tradition of street tacos to seal the day of racing. Thankfully, the taco party was graciously sponsored by JCG Customs and remained a highlight of the event for hungry racers."
See what happens when you give a guy free reign at a magazine? Outta control. D |
By the way--there is over 1100 photos of the cars at the event---lots of Payback, Butterfinger, etc. If you were there, you should find your car in one of the photos.

Is it just me or does Doug look like that awkward tall kid on the junior varsity basketball team?

With you getting married, buying a new home and all the new parts you have laying around, I figure I have a good lifetime of gloating left to do. :P

However the +/- 2 car lengths cost you about 100k more than what Dave has in that Badmotorfinger.....:unibrow: I also like this one. I could see the caption. (Todd) Honey was I not great! I never hit cones... (Wife) Yea, your right I don't see any knocked over. http://cdn.chevyhardcore.com/image/2012/06/IMG_3267.jpg |

I was just rubbing that off with some fine steel wool last night.
Mr. Flash has a few for sheckles in that car than you think. I'd say it was mostly driver. :unibrow: Most of my money went to AC, subwoofers, and sound deadener. (Weight) :D Looks like a good 3 car lengths. |

Those 225's were only 2 seconds away from an un-named Mono Exhausted Valve Crunching 1:49 lap timed Moderator owned car I know. I am going to put a Posi in the car now--you've pushed me over the edge. I don't care if I loose my CEO status of the OLJ club anymore. The pain train is comin--- Does anyone make 225's in a 200 treadwear? This is serious. |

I'm still very angry at this Morris fellow for what many of us have been subjected to each time that song is played within earshot...lo these many years. |

Between your drivetrain in the garage and my suspension and brakes I don't own yet but claim, we could make one hell of a nice car. |
