Special Thanks to all my sponsors that are making this weekend happen.

As some of you know I decided I wanted to go Dirt racing at the local dirt track, Bakersfield Speedway. I thought I was going to have put stickers on my car and charge people to take them off to avoid public humiliation. But some of my buddies have come through with sponsorship in way I could never imagine. The size of their sticker shows their support. Thanks again guys. :D

Kenny I hope your sticker lasts through the atleast the 1st heat race. I love the hand made aspect but, I will be on the "wet" dirt. :D :D :D

Race Car

From this we can see the shop will have plenty of work fixing your bent metal from the track.
Did Kenny paint it or finish it? Nice paper decal.

Must be a little part of a Roadster Shop chassis under this with that small sticker!!

Funny!

This looks like fun

ironworks 07-19-2012 03:22 PM

I got to go out an practice last weekend for the first time and I'm not sure I have ever had more fun. It was 102 degrees outside and the track was slick as can be. I'm really excited to get in a pack of cars this weekend. First or Last I know it will be super fun.

Do like I do in a MTB Race start dead last and see how many people you can pick off by the end of the race. Also make sure you stop to help people in need it really ticks people off when you pass them a second time.

I have heard of him. He is supposed to work with Terry Henry who own a race prep and parts store. Is he a smart guy? I might need to build a faster bullet.

Dave they run pretty much a "stock" small block with a glide and a 9" floater with 7.33 gears.

You're so tall you have to breathe thinner air, yet easily win round after round with these lower center of gravity posters...

The Funny thing is we both probably had just rolled into the work at the same time. The difference being the 3 time zone advantage Marti has.

But I still have to give Marti the respect he deserves for building that baddest Mini Truck on the Planet. When you have this kind of street credit you can show up when you please. JUST SAYIN

ccracin 07-20-2012 11:35 AM

Tried to edit post from before and deleted by accident. That's the story of my day! :( Have fun this weekend!

It went better then expected. I advanced from the b main to the A main. I wound up 19th overall. But had a blast. Once i got used to the fact rubbin is racing it was much better. Cant wait for 2 weeks from now.

Here is a link to the finishing order.

Hay Kenny - I'm going to need you to Fax me a new sticker (661) 399-7999. The guy in the 9J car cleanly took your sticker right off the side of my car. As you can see the scotch tape held, but that tire mark shows probably what happened to your sponsorship dollars. Don't worry because on the next lap I gave him the big Chrome Horn for getting into my good side.

I had 1 last rivet holding the nose on the car this morning. Once I got that off here is what I found.
http://i616.photobucket.com/albums/t...ppics002-1.jpg

The moral to the story this new bumper got me 2 positions on the track.

Shoot, that will buff right out no problem...
