II Much Fabrication Fuel and Differential Vents are in stock and ready to ship
The II Much Fabrication Vent solves several problems when installing high performance fuel tanks. It allows the use of an unvented fuel cap, preventing fuel slosh and odor, while providing filtered air to the tank via its integrated 40 micron filter. The Vent also works well as a differential vent, allowing the rear end assembly to breathe, and helping to eliminate differential fluid seepage and leaks. The new design allows for simple plumbing to a fuel tank or differential: mount the Vent, and connect it to the tank or differential vent port. It's that easy.

I have two of them sitting here, and I can attest that they look as good as they do in that picture... :)
Too bad they get hidden in the trunk... |
Jay,
Yes: our vent, along with an unvented cap, is designed to solve that problem. |
Excellent!
Hector (at Rick's) has been referring his customers to us for this issue. |
It will go out today; overnight to you. We love to see installation pics. :)
Thanks very much for the order! |
Jay,
To connect the vent to the tank, you'll need a 6AN ORB fitting for the vent side, and a corresponding fitting for the tank (1/4 NPT to 6AN, probably), plus the hose or hardline to make the connection. Here's a couple Earls's 6AN ORB fitting PNs (985006ERL or AT949068ERL) to get you started. |
This is fantastic, I have been fighting the same issue for a long time and thought only the vaperworx tank was the proper solution. Going to order one as well.
Can you post a picture of one installed? Or are there instructions? |

(starting on page 5, but the best pics are on subsequent pages): http://www.pro-touring.com/showthrea...llations/page5 As far as instructions go, I can try to post that, but they are in the form of a booklet. It will take some time to format that into a pdf or something I can post. jp |
Just ordered 1 this afternoon via your website. Will install it as soon as it arrives. Will be installing my new Aeromotive Stealth fuel tank and PTFE lines this weekend. This looks to solve a common issue and happy to see it available. Hope it works as beautifully as it looks. Will post install pics in my build thread along with all the other new fuel system components.

Thanks Chris. Your Vent will go out today.
|
Fantastic. Thank you.

Very cool product John! Will be ordering one for our Rick's tank and was pondering one for the differential. Do you have any pics of how guys are venting diffs?
Thanks! |
Ed, venting a differential is almost the same as a fuel tank except that the hose that connects them needs to articulate throughout the rear suspension movement. Most rear end housings have 1/4" pipe threads and a simple "bobbin" vent that oozes differential fluid. Remove that bobbin vent, screw in a 1/4 to 6AN fitting in its place and connect it to our Vent, and you're good to go. No more oozing fluid on the housing, and no more whiff of differential fluid.

Jame's these vent's really look good it something finished as nice as your project.
|
Jay, glad to know it fixed you customer up.
Just wondering: what's the vent sitting on? Did you make an aluminum ring or something? |
Very nice piece!!! Great job, should solve a lot of issues for guys!
Great job! Matt |
