Brother, I too am a public servant, as I'm a firefighter/paramedic. I know exactly what you are going thru and I feel your pain as I just lost one of my lieutenants roughly a year ago. Firefighters and police work very closely together and I have many good friends who are police officers. GOD bless you and his family and stay strong.

Very sorry for your loss. I have many friends and acquaintances in law enforcement, and have lost some over the years in the line of duty. It's very hard.

Sorry Marcus, my condolences. I know the feeling too well as I lost my co-worker and partner of 36+ years to a totally unexpected heart attack Saturday morning. :(

Sorry for your loss, somehow I get EOW e-mails for the entire nation and I remember reading about this on Monday. We just lost one of our officers(shot in the face on a traffic stop), and we are burying him tomorrow. Taking care of the family financially is the least we can do, nothing will ever replace the husband, friend, and father that the officer was.
