Hmm, more Hp with a smaller throttle body. Can you say efficiency?

I hope they have this info at SEMA next week.

Here is way more info and pics than my original post.

Cool stuff, I like the revival of the LT1 name :D

So I'm assuming that it has a low pressure in-tank pump that feeds to a higher pressure pump near the engine. Does anyone know what the high pressure pump is driven from and where it is located. I can see in the one slide that they have it shown, but I can't quite make out the details. It looks like 2175 or 2275psi..............

Just curious -- thinking ahead. If it is driven off of the camshaft or something, then for swap purposes, it may be as simple as using some of the currently available tank/pump options to feed the high pressure pump.

Seems pretty cool to me - -can't wait to see on in an old car!!!!

dontlifttoshift 10-24-2012 01:43 PM

Brandon, I think its cam driven. In the chevy hardcaore link there is a triangular lobe on the cam near the front. There is what looks to be a fuel pump boss on the drivers side of the block.

I thought I saw a spy pic awhile back where the high pressure pump would be belt driven.

Where are we going to put the power steering pump? That offset water pump will make things interesting.

Uh ohh, whose gonna be the first to put one of these in an old school, muscle car?

fuel pump seems to be driven off the cam.

GM feels that a 2 digit desination dosen't work so they will most likely keep going down the alphabet. LS10 sounds funny.

Fixed it!

Maybe true Matt, but I'm not buying one until they (someone, not turnkey) comes out w a big bore, head and cam package.

Scott, thanks!!

It will be interesting to see how the direct injection plays out in the aftermarket. I know very little about direct injection but am wondering if the "crate engine guys" will eliminate it......time will tell

Bad ass, nice to see GM on their toes. I'm also glad my next car can have something other than an LS. ha ha ha

There's been so many LT1 versions now it's getting head spinning!

I think with the stigma of the optispark bullcrap from years ago, they really need to rename this something with a less craptacular reputation.

Probly just a spot for a ground cable lol. If anyone is familiar with the eco tech or high feature v6 it will use the same system im gonna assume. Lo pressure pump then jnto high pressure 2800 psi pump. At least it doesnt have a duramax pump on it 29000 psi lol. Going to be interesting. From the lokks of the pic it looks like it will retain vvt and dod
