Thanks for offering! If you have a chance, I wouldn't mind seeing the new Grip Equipped wheel line from Ben Hermance and his new partnership with Forgeline wheels.

Very Nice, but Ouch on the price. Sadly I will have to admire these on other peoples rides.

Thanks for stopping by the booth Al, it was a pleasure to meet you!
As far as the wheels go, even though only 7 of the 9 wheel styles were displayed due to space, they were a HUGE hit! Forgeline was already getting calls on the first day for info and orders, we're pretty pumped! Power TV came by as well and interviewed Dave Schardt about all of the new offerings from Forgeline including the Grip Equipped designer series label. Here's a link to the youtube vid. (I tried to go easy on Dave for the mispronounciation of my name though we all agreed it sounded far more exotic!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qN6lqgmv_24 As far as pricing...high quality forged 3 piece wheels can't be compared to the typical cast 1 or 2 piece billet wheels that are dramatically inferior in construction, engineering, strength, weight-savings, custom fitments, serviceability, available finishes and overall quality. These are highly stylized, premium quality, forged 3 piece wheels with some vintage influence. Most 3 piece wheels are no more than an array of holes punched out of a center forging that lacks detail and individuality. With the custom finishes available, Grip Equipped wheel designs are flexible enough that they can be creatively accented to achieve a wide range of unique looks. They offer a lot of value at very competitive prices. |
'Her-Man-Se' ... is that french, italian or spanish?
Great looking wheels Sir  |
Thanks Ron!
I've dealt with it my entire life...nothing new. LOL Everyone makes it so much more complicated than it really is. It's an Americanized version of a Dutch name actually. The easiest way to explain it (lamest too) is by saying that it rhymes with "romance".....ugh. |

I left my camera back home. I had a friend let me borrow a little point a shoot and the quality sucks. |

Forgeline calls it Matte Titanium. It's basically the exact same powder coat as their Gun metal but with a matte finish. The windows are High Tech Machined for a bright contrast with the powder coating. Another option would be to HTM or brush the spoke face or you could accent both if you want. We were also discussing shot peening this one and Laguna before powder coating for a little more texture and authenticity.
That's one of the unique aspects to the Grip Equipped line, by selecting the right finish and/or adding some creative accents each wheel can look dramatically different. That allows them to have the flexibility to work with a incredibly wide range of vehicles. |
