Crazy idea - Has anyone successfully put an LS motor into a 510?

It occurred to me how badass this could be.

I've searched the googles and only found one guy who maybe has done it but he doesn't have any pics.

There was a green one at SEMA with a ZZ4 in it. It that fit, an LS would be much easier due to the shorter lenth and lower efi height.

That gray one is sick!!!! I have not seen it around at all. Let alone that body style is almost impossible to find, I tried for about a year in the eighties.

I have thought about a turbo'd ecotech for quite a while. That would be pretty cool in a 510.

I'd like to see one with a Subaru STI motor and trans. 300awhp would be fun :unibrow:

There's a local autocross 510 that Dean has had for years, his first motor was a built RX7 rotary with Holley 4 barrel, then he installed a Nissan ZX V6 turbo motor. The car runs hard, the suspension is well sorted, and he's an above average driver. With slicks it accelerates hard off the corner. It's a real sleeper on the street but traction is an issue. A strong LS would be a handful.

Here's a cool Bluebird from SEMA and the other is a pic of the aforementioned V8 510 that was also there this year and was actually built and owned by racing legend Peter Brock.

Saw that car, I took about 20 pictures of it because it seems to have been built really well.

Must go like a bad out of hell...
