project go for broke 70 chevelle

Well looks like the bug has bit me hard and I am starting another project!
just wanted to clear the air first and clarify who is e.rodz customs e.rodz is NOT a business this is just a couple of of friends and my son who is now 13 years of age who just want to build some really cool stuff! my goal is to build 10 super cool rodz. the first one was my work truck I sold a barret jackson years ago. The second was going to be my 63 belair but after pulling this car out of the back yard I got to thinking what if I kept driving the belair for a while and did the chevelle up G machine style so that is were the go for broke came in. Just posting this up so you guys can follow this build along and either watch me fail or build something cool it could go either way!

214Chevy 12-11-2012 09:02 PM

Cool Erik!! I see the Chevelles are coming on strong here lately. What are your plans for it...motor, tranny, wheels, etc?

Thanks buddy I have been following your thread for a while now and you are inspiring me to push it .the wheels on your avatar are what I was dreaming about but those are going to have to wait tell I sell some parts.stay tuned for more on this one!

E.rodz 12-12-2012 09:44 PM

Sorry for the lack of direction on the first post just really strapped for time lately and interruptions constantly. Well more on the plan of the car is changing rapidly the original plan was to give it a awesome paint job LS motor and just detail the hell out of it. I should of learned along time ago that I just can't go half way I try and try but every time I get a vision in my head I can not stop until it is done the way I would like to see it.so for now it is time to strip it to bare bones remove everything off the car that will not be used and GO FOR BROKE! my ultimate goal with the car is build a Foose,Trepanier, ring bros. quality build built in my home garage with just a handful of friends and low buck tools doing 95% of the work in one place including a garage paint job in all. My son and co worker Bobby willard are going to do a youtube video documentation of the whole thing so please follow us along to watch us either live the dream or fall on my face hard!:D

E.rodz 12-12-2012 10:14 PM

I thought I figured out how to imbed youtube videos but apparently I can't figure it out I clicked on the video clip icon then copied the youtube http code pasted it in between the brackets and the screen just turns white what am I doing wrong?
here is the link to the intro to our build please let me know what you think and any tips or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!!!! http://youtu.be/Dw2WzxSGAdo

waynieZ 12-20-2012 11:28 AM

Eric if you charge by the hour people definitely get their moneys worth if you move that fast all the time. lol Nice video.

syborg tt 12-20-2012 12:57 PM

Pretty cool project. I really like the video idea.

as for the ride height control "Ride Tech" already has a set up like that. I even have an extra set of ride height sensors and harness

NOPANTS68 12-20-2012 12:59 PM

You're making progress! Just because new, shiny stuff isn't being screwed on doesn't mean you're going backwards. You gotta get naked in order to party! Awesome car choice. I'm beyond jealous.

where does the time go? it has been a interesting month to say the least. my wife was rushed to the hospital with a possible heart attack and that just scares the pants right off ya! after every test know to man we still don't know what happened but she appears to be getting better slowly can't wait for all these bills to come in! still been chipping away at the disassembly of the car boxing everything up to recoupe some of the parts money needed if anyone needs chevelle parts please let me know they are all going on ebay soon. Here is a little update of where we are now.
http://i643.photobucket.com/albums/u...d/IMAG2106.jpghttp://i643.photobucket.com/albums/u...d/IMAG2136.jpghttp://i643.photobucket.com/albums/u...d/IMAG2139.jpg
well this is pretty much all that is going to be used just the shell and most of the frame. now its time to start mocking it up and making forward progress.!!!

E.rodz 01-01-2013 02:01 PM

Its so cool when you see that primer and know that the elements havent tore through it. Mine was the same way. (Mine was also originally gold as well) I like the intake too. Looking good so far Eric:thumbsup:

I agree this is the most rust free car I have ever worked on wow what a difference to be able to take a car apart without a torch and a grinder! have a couple more updates just trying to get some ebay stuff done.

E.rodz 01-10-2013 08:42 AM

been kicking it on the drive accesories trying to figure out where everything is going to work the best ended up going with a f body balancer and power steering pump, truck alt. because I had one now just waiting on a couple of idler pulleys and a couple more finishing touches and we can get the motor located.

LOL, Wayne I am not really sure that I will ever figure it out. According to my wife I will never figure it out! it feels really good to be able to go out and work in the shop and go make some progress instead of going backward! but I am sure there is more of that to come.

E.rodz 01-11-2013 07:49 PM

Made another video please check it out and let me know what you think! good or bad don't be afraid to tell me what could we do better?????
