6 Attachment(s)
Here is a new joint project we have going on with one of our customers. It's a 1970 C10. The truck is being purpose built for autox and track day fun. As of right now here are a list of some parts it will have:

- Detroit speed 595 front clip
- Custom DSE component rear four link suspension
- AutoRAD core support and radiator
- T56 magnum transmission
- Race prepped dry sump LS7 engine
-19x11.5" front wheels and 19x13 rears (Formula 43 Rad10)

Should have more updates soon.

Yes, that is the set ride height in the picture. It will be about 3.75" off the ground.

I was admiring that table as well. :unibrow:

And the truck.. of course.

65_LS1_T56 01-03-2013 05:20 PM

He builds the tables himself. Think he has 3 there now.
Those are nothing, you should see his office furniture :_paranoid

WSSix 01-03-2013 05:41 PM

I think we need a separate thread on those tables. I was eyeing it as well. One day, I'd like to get crazy and build a frame or subframe from scratch. I've got some ideas.

Sanchez Garage 01-03-2013 08:21 PM

Looks like you started with a great truck.

Thanks Guys, I do make the frame tables. They work great for all different kinds of projects. Here are a couple update pics of the front frame together.

We normally use a fork lift with modified fork extensions to raise the bodies up and roll the rack out of the way.

KPC67 02-03-2013 11:50 AM

looks wicked Bill,
I am looking forward to see what you do with the 4link out back.
I want to hear some feed back when you get this thing on the road, I am curious as to how it stacks up against a complete chassis that could have the body dropped on.
:popcorn2:

srh3trinity 02-03-2013 11:51 AM

Great choice on the wheels! There needs to be an entire C10 class at upcoming events.

coolwelder62 02-03-2013 12:55 PM

As always Billy, your work is out standing.C-10's are really picking up speed.

It's been awhile since last update, but here are a few new shots. The truck should be a roller in the next couple weeks. Then it will go off to the owner for completion.

Dobster 05-29-2013 06:45 PM

Thats going to be a fun truck. Nice !

Rick D 05-29-2013 08:42 PM

Nice fab work Billy! What is the intended use for this bad boy?

ccracin 05-29-2013 08:55 PM

Awesome stuff Billy! I gotta ask something. How tall is the owner? I was considering those pedals, but I'm 6-4 and couldn't make them comfortable. But those pedals are nice, I'm jealous.

Thank you, the owner is 6-2 and it fits him perfect at the moment. It was very difficult creating a good competition/comfortable driving position with such a small area. The pedals were sunk into the floor as far forward as they could go before the master cylinders would start to interfere with the front tire.

coolwelder62 05-30-2013 06:18 AM

Is the center fuse box a OEM unit.Billy this C-10 is going to over the Top.

64pontiac 05-30-2013 09:07 AM

Who makes the battery box? thats a nice looking one!
