My wife of 10 years tells me I am obsessed with cars
 

Go figure she is the one that got me into muscle cars and she thinks I am obsessed with cars seriously I could have a drug addiction or worse.

My wife called me out once on the number of project cars that I had planned in my head. Let's see, there was a Riviera, first gen Camaro, second gen Firebird, suicide door Lincoln, C3 Corvette, old school crew cab with a Cummins swap, 63-66 C10, 67-72 C10, K5 Blazer, etc.

She knows nothing about cars, but at one point in time she could pick out the differences between 67, 68 and 69 Camaros from hearing me talk about them. She has also told me that she wants me to build a 50's model truck one day because she likes the look of them.

Cars are like meth, weed, and cocain all mixed into one 3300lbs pill.

And I'm fine with that.

My wife just asked me if I was looking at car stuff again while reading this thread!

I have to drink a little beer every now and then to keep my addiction at bay.

Funny. You too huh? Every Saturday and Sunday I go downstairs to get my wifey a cup of coffee, on Saturday mornings we stay in bed for an hour or so. This morning she looks over at my tablet and sees my bookmarks and says "do you realize that you top six are all car related?" I said "of course"....

My wife knew I had a problem when she married me 27 years ago. But it started with me when my parents took me to see Thunder Road when I was a kid. :yes: Here's a pic my first car back when I was 17, wish I had it back.

My wife likes cars but reminds me every week about finishing her Camaro. I told her when we moved to are new house that I wouldnt put any cars in the backyard.... There are four there now...LoL I just need to finish one.

Lucky for me my wife understands what and who she married. Car obsessed, absolutely.

We have a great understanding..... She doesn't ask how much the car parts co$t, and I don't ask how much her shoes co$t! It's our version of a
"don't ask, don't tell" policy. It works for us.

lol yeah if im in the reading room to long my wife say "quit car porn-ing it and get out here!"

My wife is the BEST! She always supports my car addiction, actually she's as bad as I am! She always makes sure I stay on top of maintance for my race cars and street cars. It's awesome, all my friends envy me and wish their wives were into it as much as mine. Guess I got lucky :D

Regarding my wife i can say the following thing. She is a great assistant for me. We look for necessary vehicles and parts together. Therefore i am glad to be with her :)

I use to think being addicted to cars was better than drugs but now I'm not so sure lol.

I've only been married 4 months but I made sure my wife and I were very clear on the fact that I'll always have a shop full of cars and spend as much money on them as I can without neglecting the family.

If I ever want a new car I just have to bring up getting a dog and she'll have no problem letting me buy another car instead lol.
