It's getting a set of custom one offs (which will technically be "second offs").... pin drive... I have to make sure it's okay for me to discuss before I spill the beans.

Pinching the nose and dropping it... No fenders...

A nice simple road worthy Brizio DRIVER...

Jr 01-11-2013 07:29 PM

Where are all the pictures? You have more than 4 pics of this project.

INTMD8 01-11-2013 07:59 PM

Looks great! Any idea on what it will weigh when completed? I bet it will fly with that drivetrain if it's as light as I think it will be.

Good question.... I'm really not sure. 2500 - 2600 pounds maybe??

Yeah -- there is plenty of torque and horsey power....

camcojb 01-11-2013 08:14 PM

I've always loved those cars. Not sure I could fit in one, but I did a Cobra that fit me pretty well after doing several seat mods. I suppose the same could be done with a 33.

96z28ss 01-11-2013 08:29 PM

So are you going to pitch the red 32 to the curb? They are almost the same car.
Or is the plan to use the 32 like Charlie uses the Segway to get around the track during track days?

DBasher 01-11-2013 08:29 PM

Wooohooo! These bodies are stretched a bit aren't they? Looks like it also has the hide away top section....very cool.

I don't see an IRS:_paranoid

What's the time frame? I know Brizio can crank these out fairly quick...GNRS?

:woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

Dan

#1 --- I wish I could figure out how guys do several "quoted" posts in one reply quote!

If that big azz lunk friend of yours over there in Woodland can drive a '32 -- so could you... you might just have to do it on un-upholstered bomber seats... and maybe a 10" steering wheel....

No way!!! It's the perfect Sun Valley hot rod!

They're "similar" --- one is a real roadster..... the '33 has a convertible top --- real windows -- A/C -- and has dreams of long distance DRIVING. The '32 goes to the grocery store.

Leaving the factory plastic nasty looking junk on there -- I'm never opening the hood except to check the oil. This is being built to be a driver... I don't give two hoots what she looks like underneath or under hood. Dead serious. :D

You're spot on! Just one year early --- it will debut at GNRS 2014.... and will be DRIVEN to LA Roadsters show June of 2014. Roy will take it to GNRS and back to his shop -- do all the shakedown etc - make any changes if any -- and I'll actually take delivery for the Brizio run to LARS. Since it's WINTER up here -- no point in having it here. So that's our plan.

I tried to give him the Nomad straight up -- and an old Vega... and some Intros. He drives a hard bargain. So we just traded some cash.

Probably -- but you should see the killer driving suit he's making you! We'll just say -- have you ever seen the Broadway musical "Joseph and the amazing technicolor dream coat"?

Krazed 01-11-2013 10:04 PM

 Greg I love your threads. They're 25% build 75% smack talking, fun loving, beer drinking awesome in a bottle.

Keep it up!

youthpastor 01-11-2013 10:11 PM

Thread hijack.....I bought a Miller 180 at SEMA getting pretty good at it....at least enough to ask the right questions. Could I throw it in the suburban and bring it to the shed and get some coaching????

Vegas69 01-11-2013 10:12 PM

If it's at the shop I can just come down there.... but it would have to be Monday.

Musclerodz 01-11-2013 10:34 PM

If I was to ever build a hot rod for me, it would be the speed 33. Like it already.

Oh no.... this is a completely new day buddy! Have you ever met Mister B? This is the nicest man on the planet... he has a real shop with real hot rod builders... and the customers actually drive the crap out of their stuff... and I'd bet 90% of the clients in his shop are on their 2nd or 3rd Brizio build. Can't say that about the shameless shizzlebag that built the little red one.... The Briz was my first choice for the '32 -- I just got snookered into thinking he (the shameless shizzlebag) was a master builder -- but we found out he was just a little master baiter who's crew couldn't even make tail lights function. OMG -- the memories are all flooding back now. I mean -- what hot rodder runs a motor without oil? What hot rodder fixes the tail lights by painting the interior housing WHITE instead of just making sure the bulbs make contact? Who installs a rear end and has the coil overs hitting the chassis? Who puts a front end on and a rear end on and doesn't align it? I know who! But the Briz fixedededed all that.
