After 6 long years, she is back!!
Finally after 6 long years, I got my baby back! I built her from scratch in 2003/2004, then because I never drove her, I sold her to Brad (Allfaith). From the day she left, I have been trying to get her back. About 10 days ago, I was talking to Brad and finally convinced him to sell her back to me. I just got her back on Sunday. I couldn't sleep for the past week! I just want to thank Brad for taking care of her and only putting 800 miles on her.:)
I have already taken her by Eric@ Griffith's Metal, he was the talent that just finished my '71 Camaro. We plan on doing some updates to her, new upper & lower a-arms, new spindles, front runner, new wheels and tires. I plan on driving her alot! I am building a new home and with a special "man cave" for her and her friends, she will have a special place there... http://fototime.com/694EAA7AD5F9AFC/xlarge.jpg http://fototime.com/49E8B954E13AE25/xlarge.jpg http://fototime.com/937264B1D44AF51/xlarge.jpg http://fototime.com/BEBD904D91FDE96/xlarge.jpg http://fototime.com/1C0BAACFEA2B5A3/xlarge.jpg |
SW that's a thing of beauty right there! Was that car built by DSE?
|
Congrats SW! Nice garage, can't wait to see what you do for upgrades as well as a mancave for the toys!
Just a question I notice the lift is not bolted to the floor? Makes me nervous with such nice cars. |
Your killing me!! Couldn't be happier it went back to SW. Cannot wait to see what he has in store!!
Now I am on the hunt for a replacement........ Brad |

House plans look awesome, best of luck with the next chapter. I need to make it to Austin one day.
Its not a Trans Am without a Bird!! Lol Brad PS I only put 800 miles on it ? Next one is a driver |
Gotta love a house with a 10 car garage.
|
11 car with the lift. Damn NICE HOUSE!!!!!
|
Wow SW...the beauty is back!
Demand for for red 73's TA's ain't goin' away anytime soon. :D http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...psd08bdb36.jpg |
what brand lift is that? My new house has 12ft ceilings so I think I may be able to fit a lift! :headscratch:
|
Have always loved this car, I often go back and look at it on DSE's website.
If you ever want to sell it again let me know:unibrow: oh and keep the bird on the hood.:thankyou: |
Better have that house done by May when a group is coming down for the V8 Supercar race! We'll want silk sheets.... and HD TV's... and plenty of cigars!
And keys to the cars so we can get around.  |
Congrats on getting her back, SW. Fantastic car that's always been at the top of my list.

Congrats on getting Her back.
That is one very nice T/A...:trophy-1302: |
That car is perfect! The wheels completely make the car too. Are they the same offset and backspacing that would normally fit the car or did the suspension upgrades change those specs? I'm wondering how those wheels would look setup for my Tran Am and stock for stock my car shares the same requirements as yours does..:thankyou:
|
Very functional and flowing floor plan.
The garage space is, let's say, adequate. :D The TA is spectacular! The 70-73's have always captured my attention, lines ahead of their time similar to Studebaker. Considering the "friends" that TA is keeping ii speaks volumes as to the design.......IMO. |
Congrats SW on getting her back! That one of my favorite body style.

So, you have this killer house being built, the awesome toy collection, and the highest speed from the "how fast" thread... I am just green! Awesome! |

I'm sure SW will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe this car was one of the earlier ones he did. I think he did this one before he did his black 69 with the machined finished components. Regardless, for me it just captures what I really like about the PT style. It keeps its original lines and styling but added to it with a great stance, wheels, and good hardware to make it handle and stop as well as it looks. It blended old and new while being functional. |

As you guys probably saw in a previous thread, I had a life change in the past 2 years, going through a divorce ect. Now it's time to go back to having some fun! |
Women, always the downfall of good men:bang: Glad you are back in full force!
|
And that is exactly why I couldn't sell it back to SW for a few years as my EX suddenly took a liking to my hobby when she thought she could get more money!! lol
Moral of teh story boys and girls is choose wisely and get a prenup |

I remember when you had matching red / white / blue TAs! And then the TTIIs, replaced with the CL205s and then lowered and then... and then... and then...
I love them all SW!! Each one has that recognizable SW look and stance! Glad to see her home my friend!!!! |
Dang, Now my 78 and Brad's (former) 73 wont be able to meet for a photo opp & spirited driving reunion :(
SW - Interested in some of the take off from this car when the time comes. |
