Torq'd Design Lab - 1962 Chevy Impala Full Custom Build

This '62 Impala was a one owner barn find that has been an on and off project for the past year or so. The car was put to the side in order to get other customers projects finished but we are just about ready to get back on this car and finish it!! It should be a pretty cool build!!

Car was complete and was stripped and dipped -

Very cool! Can't wait to see what you guys do with this beast.

I love large (hopefully) pro-touring cars. There's just something awesome about low and fast.

Keep it up guys!

Thank you guys! Yes, this will be a pro-touring styled car mixed with a few custom rod touches. It was a very clean car to start with!

Thank you guys!! This car has been on the back burner for about a year and these pictures were taken to get the car up to date. We are currently cranking the project up again and it is time to finish it. It is going to be a super cool driver (Goodguys car), LSX motor, fully skinned underbelly car. It has a lot of tube work done to it and more to come so I will keep the pictures updated from here on out!

The car when it was put on hold:

We are back on the car and received the new engine and transmission last week. Time to build mounts and brackets for the engine/trans and finish off the suspension!

The wheels that are on the way for this car are Raceline Smuggler's in a 20"x8.5" Front and 22"x 10" rear!

Torq'd Design Lab 09-01-2013 05:12 PM

Finishing up the floor structure that is made from 1"x2" rectangular tubing. Time to start sheeting the top and then the bottom of the 1"x2"!
