Best Cars Shows in the Country?

Okay........As I was writing my latest blog, It got to me to thinking about just how many car shows there are across the country and that even with the one's I've been to or heard of, there are SO many more to see and visit!!

I'd like to hear about some of your favorites and why??

I'll start it off:
1. Scoop the Loop- Waukegan, IL
2. Mustang Club of America (MCA) Events - 40th at Nashville Motor Speedway
3. Grand Rod Run - Pigeon Forge, TN
4. Shades of the Past (Classic Cars) - Pigeon Forge, TN

They said that if you went all four days and wanted to see every booth, you'd have about 8-9 seconds per booth to see all of them. I've been the last ten years, it's a not to be missed event. The Optima Challenge the day after is even better.

The best automotive event for me is the Power Tour, really a lot of fun. Not sure how a single event would be, but the long haul as a moving car show from town to town is awesome.

Al Moreno 04-15-2013 09:53 PM

Good Guys Columbus

SEMA

Detroit

Blackie's Fresno Autorama while it was around.

Hot August Nights in Reno 5000+cars a week long and now has a Barrett-Jackson Auction.

DBasher 04-16-2013 10:06 AM

The first weekend of Speedweek in Wendover is pretty good. It often falls on the last weekend of Hot August Nights, lots of cars stopping in on the way home. Not huge but a lot of period perfect cars that get driven.

CoffeeTalkJoe 04-16-2013 08:51 PM

Where is Wendover??
