Hugger orange

Guys I wanna paint my camaro hugger orange with white stripes. But Im afraid that it might not pop enough for me! I really love Dale jrs 72 camaro that DSE built. The orange is crazy!!! Really want that effect and does anyone know the paint code on that car!!

There is some info in this link, click on the paint photo:

I think Scott Mock also said he painted his 2nd Gen Camaro the same colour.

Thanks Ryan for the info. Does anyone know what color Peter Nikonovich's 69 Camaro is?

I do! But it is a lot brighter than Jrs which I have seen, parked beside!! Depends on the look you want. I personally do not like the "hugger orange" as it is too flat for me.

Steve, Hi wanted to let you know that color on Jrs. second gen is a 3-stage. Might be alot easier on yourself if you do a bc/cc instead unless you have someone who paints cars everyday spray it for you. Joe

Steve

Steve, yes painted Jrs. car. Not terrible to do just make sure to walk the length of car when doing the mid-coat and not stop and overlap at end of panels. Joe.

I think you would be happy with Hugger orange. I have it on my car with white stripes and it really pops.

When the car was repainted I was actually a little shocked at how bright it was.

Here are some pics from an article on my car.

BTW, I do love the color of Junior's car, too. I wouldn't say it pops more than Hugger orange, though.

Ric your right your car really pops!! Do u have any close up shots in high resolution to send me. Also what brand paint is it and also is it code 72 hugger? Also whate color is the white? Really nervous about going with one off crazy colors and take that risk!
thanks in advance Ric.
Thanks
Steve

Anyone else with a hugger orange 69 camaro that wants to share their pics and thoughts about the hugger orange?

tubbed69 05-23-2013 06:10 PM

you cant go wrong with Hugger Orange and White stripes, looks great and stands out, just be sure to used a real bright white like super white on toyota or something similar, colors are geat together, good luck

Ric that is a beautiful car. Congrats on the build. I would love to see it in person one day!! I agree you cannot go wrong with Hugger Orange. My comment on preference was I like a lighter look and I wanted a pearl base in all aspects so the orange was HOK Ultra Orange Pearl. Not a traditional color.

For whatever reason I was not getting any notifications on the updates to this thread. Thanks everyone for the kind words about my car.

I will see if I can dig up the paint info. If you want to message me with your email, I will be happy to send you pictures.
