Fast N Loud Visit
Anyone a fan of the show? Buddy and I went down to TX for the Hot Rod Power Tour, stopped by Gas Monkey Garage Friday and Sunday. Christie was really cool, talked a lot about the place. Richard was okay to talk too, he was really tired i guess pulled an all nigher to get back to the shop from Detroit after he built his Copo Camaro. Really cool place.

Nice Rich those pictures look different from what they show on TV? Or maybe it's just me?? Ok let's see the rest of your pictures?? :mock:
What's the deal on the COPO? It was built in Detroit and he picked it up there? |

thanks for sharing, he seems cool but I gotta watch the show with the volume down. I know he looses his acc a bunch but I am really wanting to see him succeed and not fall as another reality show. You can tell he cares.

We stopped by there as well, but we were to early to see Richard and Christie. We did go by ASM which was less than two miles away and we got to meet Sue. She was great, very down to earth and friendly.

Sorry if this is a members car but that front end is just plain ugly!

Like the GN 231 turbo Nova wagon or is it a duce (sp??)?

Nice pics mate. Whats the go with this show. I watch it and I'd say we are a season or so behind you guys but that matt black 48 they did that they lost bigtime on at an auction is in their shop. Did it sell or was that just part of the act.
|
Thanks Rich for the pictures!
|
Thanks for sharing, cool stuff. Anybody know what ended up happening with that wrecked Ferrari F40 they started to take on. I've never been able to see a follow up episode with them rebuilding the car.

I really dig this show. I think the lack of drama, dumb "pranks" (Foose), and the great personalities really make it enjoyable. They seem like they are having fun even when they run into trouble on the builds (the dude spending an hour extracting a rusty sheared bolt)... I can relate to that. I also like how each car they work on is so different and how they don't modify everything in one style.
YEOW!!! |
I think the show is great. I have liked most of the builds and the personalities are great. I like the idea of them driving around and trying to find gems hidden out in people's yards. I like the fact that they don't build run of the mill stuff, but it sure hurts them when they try to sale them.
|
Haven't heard of it before, which is strange since just about anything i watch on tv has to do with some form of wheels...
What network? |

#1 -- thanks for posting the pics
#2 -- I agree with the guys here - I like the show - and like the people. It seems more "real life" car guys... just doing their thing. Richard is a hoot and even when he's stressed out -- he's stressed out over the right kind of "stuff". #3 -- There's no Blue Bear or that idiot "Mike" on the show. Yippeeeeeeee! |

Thank you Hennessy and than you Gas Monkey for making them look like the arrogant piss-ants that they are. |
Looks like a really good time. Thanks for the pictures!!:D

Just watch last night and they had the F40 on there. Now I have been in the collision industry for 26 years and they are nuts :lostmarbles:
First cool car but he is going to lose his azz on that car. Anyone that can afford a F40 isn't looking to get one that was rebuilt on a TV show?? Well let me say they aren't going to pay to much for a total car that was rebuilt. Very entertaining for TV and I love the show. |

I had a client that bought one about 5 years back that was owned by a famous racer originally. Fittipaldi I think, but I can't remember exactly. He paid $495k for that car and it was Pebble Beach clean. I don't get the car on the show. To have nearly double that in a "modded" F40 is bank account suicide. There's always movement in rare Ferrari numbers, but not 200% guys. I like the show and I'd like to see another small shop make it, but last night was kinda silly. There's not a whale with his head screwed on right that would pay any real money for an F40 hit that hard, fixed by that shop. They're not rare cars since they made over 1300 of them.

I like the show. It has a good entertainment factor with cars / hotrods, but doesn't have the drama like WCC, OCC, American Hotrod ect. Regarding the price I found this when I was looking for more pictures.
http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/288...fast-loud.html Sounds like the purchase price might have been inflated hard to say for sure. Either way I'll keep watching it. |
