Saw a G8 yesterday...
Never really looked at one, but they are neat looking cars. This one was red with a 6.0 motor, I like it, plus it's a Pontiac! :)
|
Be sure to check out the GXP versions
|
The aussie front end looks the best on the G8's.
|
Oh boy here you go again!! Lol they are cool and look nice.
|
here he comes with a ls9 powered g8. I called it first. haha

Hey Marty isn't there a Bumble Bee missing in that back row??? :stirthepot:
|
I had forgotten about SLP using the Firehawk name on the G8's. Ed Hamburger ticked off so many Firebird people when they announced that decision, but like he said, it's his name, his company, and he'll do as he pleases.
They look good though, that's for sure. |
That's a great picture. You guys are a bad influence, all I said was I thought a G8 looked kool, now...:headspin:

I have an 09 in white. I love it for a daily. I am hoping for a brake upgrade as they are a little lacking stock.
|
I have a silver '09. I love the car and enjoy when I drive it. Great value for what I paid for it new. Significantly less than the new SS that is coming our.
|
Would it be kooler than a twin turbo Ferrari Scuderia??
LOL SW -- you're truly my hero! |
|
Firebird....Firehawk close enough

Here is a link to the ute (pick up) version lapping Nurburgring, in a sub 8.20 min http://www.holden.com.au/worldrecordute This is with 6.0 litre, the US is getting the 6.2 LS3 |

The USA SS is based on the new Gen V LT 6.2 engine, it is going to be awhile before they can modify it. http://www.chevrolet.com/ss-sports-s...ml#Performance I was talking to Brian Thomson of (Thomson Automotive) about that Gen V engines, and GM has designed it so it be harder to modify. Jeff |

Here is mine before I plasti-dipped the wheels. I put an aftermarket intake on it and it came with a j-pipe exhaust. I am not sure, but it seems to have a lope in it. Wonder if the previous owner cammed it. It felt a good bit stronger than the other two I test drove. I think the SS is going to look nice, but I picked this G8 up for a bargain used. http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/z...psa55566bf.jpg
After the wheels were plasti-dipped. Should be temporary as I plan on a CTS-v caliper swap and mesh wheels. http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/z...ps969c1fb2.jpg |
I'm planning on getting a G8 GT or GXP after I graduate from the police academy in Dec. Then it'll be time to start importing body parts from Australia...
