Pro Touring '63 F100 @ Torq'd Design
This truck came to us for a rest-mod/pro-touring overhaul! The truck has had only two owners and the owners plan on keeping it in the family from now on! Since a lot of parts are not made for these trucks we will be building a lot of custom/one-off pieces to make the truck unique.
This is how the truck looked after sitting since the early 80's...it was loaded up and ready for delivery. http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps88af2cde.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...psd1bbab22.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps2c2a4a79.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...psff3a6065.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...psce58734a.jpg |
Sweet!! Can't wait to see this one. I was on vacation in the Bahamas a few weeks ago and low and behold a citizen had one of these fixed up really nice. It was navy blue with some nice wheels on it. I was really surprised to see it over there fixed up to that level of quality and it wasn't no crap either. It was very nicely done. Anyway, back to the subject at hand. I'm watching this one. I think you guys do damn good work. I'll have to visit your shop one day. I'm about 70 miles west of you.

Good looking trucks IMO.
What kind of chassis, motor and trans will it get? |

We have almost completed building and metal finishing a custom chassis for the truck, and it will have a Ford 347ci engine with a C6 trans. |
Surprise surprise I like it.:burnout:
Any details on the 347? AFR or TW heads? EFI or Carbed? How about an AOD with a Lentech valvebody instead of the C6:D  |
It's good to see a truck being redone with the PT theme...
Are you guys going to fix the body line issue with the bed and cab? That modle ford has always looked like the bed was a left over from the previous body style to me. I hope to get over to your shop to see you guys some time and have a look at what you are doing over there. |

Starting the disassembly -
http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps64468074.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps1dd75bc6.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3b323a62.jpg It had some rust issues in the front floor pans and front section of the inner rockers due to a leaky sunroof. I guess these were popular in the late 70s or early 80s? Don't worry...the roof is being re-skinned! http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6dcae6f7.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...psb2f63f96.jpg http://i1301.photobucket.com/albums/...ps56754b91.jpg |

The cab came out very nice! Minor rust in one cab corner, and front floor pans/front inner rockers.

What did you use to strip it like that? First photo looks like you might have used some chemical striper and just clean up real good before shooting the photo...:confused59:

I am really looking forward to seeing what you guys do. I am not sure if this was asked. Do you have a rendering of what your going for as a finished look ? |
Matt, Like what your doing on the truck. I have a 66 Ford project that I have been working on for years. Have to send you a few pictures at some point.
