Anyone remember Pro Street?
Yes I know this is a Pro Touring forum, but we all came from somewhere, right?
Here is where I came from... Scot Payton and Michael Julian from Route 2 Media...thanks for making me look not bad! |

That's awesome stuff Bret! The Stang looks as good now as it did back then. I got to see Scott and the Whiz in Columbus too. I don't care who you are, you liked Pro-Street at some point!
|
I still think a nice, nasty sounding pro-streeter is kick-azz!
Nice job Bret! Jeff- |

My second Pro Street/Track car |
Nice interview.
I remember being a freshman in High School wanting a Beretta to Pro Street as my first car. I didnt even comprehend the difference between front wheel drive and RWD at the time. LOL. Still some really cool cars. If I had the funds I'd do a Modern Pro Street as a long haul cruiser. |

The video is both informational and inspirational. I enjoyed it. As I watched it, I realized that you are an excellent historian who lived it himself, a visionary and obviously a wise business man all rolled into one friendly person. I was there this year. I walked right by you sitting next to your cars and chose not to strike up a conversation for fear of "bothering" you. After watching the video, I'm sure I missed an opportunity for a great conversation. Next time I'll be sure to introduce myself. |
My first car, pro street vega I built in the 80's (in case you couldn't tell!) I still have it and it looks exactly the same, I thought about Pro touring it, thought about modernizing a bit but decided to leave as is. I dont know what i'll ever do with it, but I just cant sell it!:confused18:

Very cool video, nice job!

I remember in H.S. a co-worker had a pro street 70 chevelle. The first time I saw it I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was definately the "It" thing in the 80's.
Thanks for sharing the video. |

I sold this Camaro as a roller and bought that orange Vega.
This artical was with the new owner and his engine. Don't know why he raised the car up. |
