Year One pics
Here are a ton of pics from Year One, compliments of Bill Howell.
Year One Experience Pics |
Thanks Scott,
The pictures of the "barn" inside and out are of Milton Robinson's place. Not counting the cars, this place was absolutely off the hook. I am sure 2mil would be a good guess of cost before the cars were brought in. Bob Johnson set the tour to Milton's up then lead us (he was driving the cuda) over to his place where we had a cookout. Just a great day. |
Great pics. Thanks Bill. I wish I could have been there. But I have one question.....
WHY?!?!?! :wow: http://www.lateral-g.org/events/2006...e/IMG_4471.jpg Eeewwww :faint: |
WTF????????:willy: :wow: :faint:
|
Horrible!!!
|
Thanks for the pics.
-Paul |
That was just for you Allen. :D
Is that thing terrible or what? The owner was styling and profiling around in that thing like it was a Yenko or something. Made me wantta barf. The really bad news, it was sitting right beside Bob's cuda! I guess he was showing he could raise the camaro bar like Bob did with the cuda? |
Bill thanks for taking the time to shot all those pictures. What a way to start the morning.
Scott |
damn
pics are cool, i wanna know who the spinner is next to your car with chip foose?
|
Damn Bill you were busy! Thanks for sharing all the pics. Milton's place is incredible!!!!! :wow:
|
AHA!!! I knew if I came over to the Lateral-G site that I would get a ton of pics! Thanks for posting all of those for us Scott. That looked like such a fun event and nothing is more cool than Bills GTO getting some track time.
Dang this one is very close to the paint scheme I want to do. http://www.lateral-g.org/events/2006...e/IMG_4524.jpg |

I don't think there is a piece in it that is not custom. Like the rest of the car, everything you look at is one off.
I gotta ask Bob about the Ga. Tag, I swear, even it is a custom piece I think. |
Bill, is it your pics, or was there that many 2-tone cars there? Definitely look like alot of nice cars at the show.
Mike |
I noticed that too.Lots of 2 tones. Mabey I should just leave mine primer. That way it stays original. By the time I paint mine everyone will have 2 tone cars. First I wanted silver because no one had it, then I switched to 2 tone, now everyone is doing that too. By the time we paint the mustang orange eveeryone will have that. At least no one else is road racing with a primer 69 Camaro with 4th gen and exhaust out the center of the back. :unibrow:
I have 1 last idea for a paint scheme but there is no way in hell I am telling anyone. |
I'm looking at those pictures and asking myself, "How was I not at this event?"
Well....I know now what to save some vacation time for next year. Thanks for the pics Bill. By the way...who's the dude in the Lat-G shirt? |
Mike,
You know I like two tone cars, so it could be me. There were several there though, the winner of the cup even was two tone. Tony (Nineball) has posted the pictures he took over on LS-1 tech. I will look thru them later tonight and see if it was just me. http://www.ls1tech.com/Events/YearOne2006/index.htm Tony R. There were three, four or five people with Lateral-g shirts, so I am not sure with one you are talking about. Smack talker, russ are to that come to mind right now, but I am sure the other ones will jump in and save me here. That is one of the best ways to identify people from the boards is to have on a shirt. At least then you know who you are looking for. Of course, I say that and I think I had on a Jimmy Buffet shirt on Saturday. |
Some sweet pics....... Does anyone know if detroit speed still is taking there black disply car to the show are not?
-Paul |
HOLY SMOKES those pics were awesome!! :wow: I wish I could've gone!! Bill, were they filming your car for My Classic Car? I thought I saw the camera filming your car in one pic and I saw the host Dennis Gage in a few other pics.
-Mike |
Thanks Bill for the pics
i like the Real Bobs 69 tuff looking with those hairdryers :hail: |
Dennis jumped on a feature on the Goat as soon as it hit the pavment. Prodigy Customs got great play from My Classic Car when Dennis choose Project Prodigy to open and close the show. Lisa even got some air time, weather she likes the mustache or not
|
:wow:  :wow:  :willy:
holy crap. I give up. wanna buy my car? |
That TT setup on that 64 (63?) Riviera is just beautiful.
(edit) I just did a double take and realized it was a 67 chevelle! |
Black/White 69 Camaro
Whose Black & White 69 Camaro with the TT Big Block set up? Car is absolutely stunning.
|
Thanks for the pics :hail: .
David |
Amazing. You even managed to capture Cloud 9!!

The black TT car is The Real Bob Johnson's car. It is very nice and won the Camaro class.

It didn't get a top 3? |
that black 69 with tt's is the baddest car at that event ! i dig that car and i am not a camaro fan .

bill
i did not mean kevin king, i meant the sit and spin girl next to chip foose next to your car!!! lmao, "thats the owner of year one" she banging if she owns year one
|
The young girl with Chip Foose by herself? That is Cometchick on pt. She and her dad have a car at David Sloan's shop getting the pt treatment.

Oh, and she always has a group of us watching over her when she goes to an event. Her dad, Jim, David, even me at the drag strip Sunday.
It was refreshing to hear her point of view, as a 16 year old cheerleader that just loves cars. She is not finished with the Comet yet and is already talking about the next project. You go girl. |
whoa
i better watch it then bill uh, lol
it was a pretty simple question |

The event looks liek a killer time. No doubt brings out all the big dogs. Wish it wasn't so far away. There aren't to many big events quite like that on the West Coast. :( |
