Year One show's TT 69 in Bill's pics
I am suprised that no one has mentioned the black and silver TT 69 Camaro in Bill's pics of the event. I talked to the guy a little bit and it is quite the car. Go to the "Events" section where Bill has the pics and it is about the 5th row down.
Anyway, this car has a twin turbo'd 408ci LS motor with an automatic. On his board it showed that it made 900 hp and 7XX torque. The car was stunning! To the story...we spend a fair amount of time at the drag strip and on Friday night they had a little test and tune going on. I see this Black and Silver 69 coming down the lane. He eases up to the box and does a small burn out. Stages, light turns green and he leaves like he is going to the 7-11 for a big gulp and he was not thursty. About 60 feet out the car looks like it got shot out of a gun, but it was making no noise. Half track I say to my friends he is going to post a good number...10.7 at 138. The owner thinks he can get in the 9's with some good rubber...with the run I saw and 900 hp, I sure hope so. That was their 1st and only run down the strip. How about that for a PT style car? |
The mph shows much quicker e.t.'s. That's still awesome on street tires, gotta be a thrilling ride.

That's 'cause I'm dumbfounded. There is a slew of really killer cars in those pix. I don't know where to begin. but I'll try....I'm blown away by Prodigy. That cockpit is just incredible!

I just saw that car and posted about it in another thread. Very impressive!

So he has a actual proven 900 hp??? I am suprised he only went 138 mph, can anyone confirm this??

69
First run down the strip and I have no idea how hard he was running. I am basing my comments on what was shown on his "info board." I did not see a dyno sheet nor did I ask him to prove it.
Steve I am with you on the Prodigy car. I stopped by and met the crew as they had quite the thrash and road trip to get to the show. The 2 cars that I wanted to see the most was the Prodigy car and Billy Goat. Mission accomplished! I needed to towel off after the viewing. Did not see Bill, but his car is fantastic. Great calling cards that speaks volumes for Prodigy Customs. |
GOO!!!!

Great looking car
But is it 900rwhp or flywheel? 900rw and it should be traping in the mid 140's even on street tires through an auto. |
should be lower e.ts shouldnt it?

Seems some people are hard to impress. |
I only asked because according to hid board, with 900 rwhp, he should be trapping right about 150 mph. 138 mph is WAY off pace. The E.T. will obviouly be slow because the traction issues associated with low profile tires. I can attest to that!!
Maybe thise numbers were on race gas and he was running pump gas??? I am curious because I have the same setup in mine, and know that car should be faster that 138 all day long. :D |

That is a fine lookin', well executed automobile. |

But he may have been p-footing it, or just had a bad run. Either way, it's faster then any of my sheet has ever been, . |

10.7 is good for any car. I'm happy to see a true PT run those kind of numbers. Heck, half of the ProStreet cars struggled with 11's and 12's. |
No doubt, I love to see "Pro street" cars with crap sticking out the hook and big tubs out back barely squeek 10's or 11's. I love when a PT car like mine or others with low profile tires, in full street trim, on pumpgas, can blow off 9's or 10's with no sweat! Heck, to top that off, most PT cars are about as quiet as a dodge ram! :)
Most of those guys are so clueless! |

I saw that
I did notice the dash was a corvette style as well
|
It's great idea. I hate stock Camaro dashes. Next rebuild, I'm gonna cut the sucker out.

Hmm.. It seems to be missing something. I can't quite put my finger on it. ;)
