Brian Finch's '71 Camaro's New Look on Forgeline CF3C Concave Wheels

Brian Finch's '71 Camaro was tweaked again prior to SEMA and the 2013 Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational. Among other changes, it now features an 800HP Kurt Urban LS7 and 18-inch Forgeline CF3C Concave wheels finished with Satin Black centers and Gloss Black outers. Like some rough size/specs on those wheels. I'm considering the CF3C for my 69 camaro. Using a friends to see the finish/wheel on my car (his is Z06).

What dia/offset are those? Especially the rears.

These questions always make me nervous, because every inch of Brian's car has been tweaked. So without knowing exactly what he did everywhere else, his fitment specs are arguably irrelevant. If you really really really want to know, then I'll look up his sales order. But you'd need to consult with Brian to put the numbers into a meaningful context.

Not looking to spec my wheel off his. Curious more how it relates to the lip on the wheels. I'm looking at 19x12 w/ 6" bs. Curious if that's about what he has.

I really like that concave look.

Love the white. Those wheels are sick!

The rears are an 18 X 12 with a 5.5 BS and the fronts are 18 X 11 with a 6.125 BS if I remember it correctly.

Love my Forgelines and will have them on every build I do.

will69camaro 02-23-2014 09:59 AM

Thanks Finch. Rears are almost the same as I'd be running (I'd have 1/4" more BS. Fronts are a little wide.

I like those on your car a LOT!

Super Chevy pits Brian's '71 Camaro against the new Z/28 at Barber Motorsports Park. You'll have to read the article to see who was faster. http://www.superchevy.com/features/c...28_track_test/

Of all of the different variations of Brian's Camaro, the white paint with the black concave wheels is by far my favorite. That look is killer. :unibrow:

To fit the same setup on 19x12 would 5.5 also work? Most people seem to run a 7" BS... I do have ridetech 4link and dse tubs.

Thanks

If your running stock rear width that will not work. You would need to narrow I'm guessing about 2" per side to get it at 5.5 BS. I have stock width rear and have 19x10 with 5.5 BS and it's tight. I think you would need about 7-7.5" BS with stock rear. Hopefully someone with more experience chimes in.

I think that would still put u at about 1" under the fender and out. U would rub like crazy. With an 11" rim yes but 12" I don't see that happening. If ur looking for a lot of lip. Just for reference I have about 3.5" of lip now. So not too bad. Other than that u will need to narrow the rear.

Are you talking about the 5.5" backspace?

The 7" backspace on 12" wide rim on stock rear is a common size everyone runs without issues. I thought I might be able to squeeze the 6.5 ...

I think it just might sit a little too far out. It also depends on tire size. I measure from the brake face out to the fender and see how much room u have there. Then add the reminder to the inside and see how much room u have there. Also depends on ride height, if ur trying to tuck the tire or have the tire just right under the fender edge.
