Holiday thiefs

W.T.F. is wrong with people lately? My 3 year old and I came home from swimming Tues. night and found his light up Mater lawn decoration had been stolen. He doesn't grasp what actually happened, he thinks someone borrowed it and it will be back. I ordered another one and will now keep it in his room for Christmas or I will chain the damn thing down. I posted it on the local Craigslist and it has caught on and getting spread around on Facebook. I just shake my head in disbelief at people sometimes.
Sorry had to vent. Thanks.

I don't lock my car or house in Sun Valley Idaho -- and you can pile Xmas packages to the roof and leave the doors unlocked and nobody bothers a thing..

Sorry for the little guys loss!

I'm not sure what your point is.

yeah, some bastards did the same to my neighbor. They took his inflatable snow globe, a snow man and a bunch of candy cane decorations. I guess less fortunate people feel this is ok behavior. Well that was his attitude towards it and he replaced the stuff the next day.

Sorry GMtech

Sorry GMtech

Not picking on you Vince, but your wording did bring a thought into my head,

When I was little, there were quite a few times, my mom struggled financially around the holidays. We still enjoyed the season and focused on family time. Not a lot of new bikes or fancy tennis shoes but I never felt without. I never be-grudged a kid who did get a new bike or some fresh kicks.

People who are out stealing Christmas decorations or robbing houses for gifts ARE NOT less fortunate. They are what they are in good times and bad, 365 days a year.

I get what your saying. The chitty part is that we just moved last year to a "better" neighborhood, out of the way, etc. My other place was ok, but more stuff went on around the area and for 17 years I never got bothered. Go figure.

Jeff-

There is much truth to this Jeff. I grew up similar. We feel that it was some kids doing some stupid kid stuff. Most people who do this do it year round in some form or another.

I ran an ad on Craigslist and posted to my Facebook page just to get the word out. I have even got e-mails and texts of sightings of it. I can't prove that it is ours, since I didn't make it. I got a text that it has spread like wildfire on facebook. I mentioned to the wife that I should have marked it before puting it out. I guess I was right.
I ordered a new one and will just let my little guy enjoy it (inside), and move forward.
Thanks again.

That was my neighbors thoughts. You don't want to know what I wanted to do. I would not be surprise the guy that stole from my neighbor drove home and surprised his kids with some nice new Christmas decorations.

I hear you its a different world in some parts of the states. Theives are thieves no matter how you cut em.

I'd drive the area and look around. Can't be too many Mater's out.

Even if you can't prove it you can always know where it went.

Jeff-

FACT

Some very wealthy people got that way through less than ethical or illegal ways. You don't have to be poor to be a thief you just have to be a dirtbag.
