Exhaust and the quadra-link, and finished tips from Stainless Works
Well after some mis informed info and 2 tanks from Ricks the car now has exhaust on it. The side of the tank had to be narrowed to alow for tailpipes and 335 tires. Here is a pic
And just so you know , the mufflers just look low due to the angle taken . All of this will be jet-hot coated . It sounds BADASS! |
WOW that is nice. I like the exhaust!

nice work! what size pipe is that?
|
I just ordered a stealth tank from Ricks. They mentioned your car when I told them mine also had a quadralink in it. Thanks for doing the test fitting, I hope mine works right off the bat.
Sweet car too, when I need motivation I check out your site. |
thats just 2.5 pipe. thanks for the compliments. soon it will be finished
|
Can you fit larger pipes? What's the limiting factor? Is that a custom system, or a kit?
Sweet ride, really sweet, you guys are doing some very nice work. I'd love to see some in person, any chance you guys will have a car at SEMA this year? Mark |
Looks great!
I am doing the same basic setup on my car Quadralink, 335s, etc.. I was hoping to use a 3 inch Flowmaster American Thunder kit on mine. I guess this will not work. Should I be planning to have someone custom bend the whole thing? Where did you get those tips?
Your project has also been a major inspiration for me. -Tracy |
Full on Chubby here. Very nice work!!

Jason,
I take it your exhaust is stainless? Correct? There is a much less expensive and better way to go then jet coating the exhaust. I had mine electroplated for $100. All I had to do was sand down exhaust with 220 grit paper. We compared my finished exhaust to polished stainless that others had done. My stuff came out on top at a fraction of the cost. FYI R.P. |

My two cents worth. Why spend the money on jet hot. Let it go as is until after the tour. I'm sure you had to use regular steel for a mock up anyways. R.P. |
Personally, I am big fan of the Jet Hot stuff, it GREATLY reduces the temperature surrounding the tubes, most noticeably in the header area. I really couldn't believe the difference when I had my headers coated, the stuff is really that good. I wish I would have taken some before and after temps, but you can't do it with a tire pyrometer (due to the dramatically different emmisivity factors for the steel/jet hot), and I don't have a contact probe that'll handle that heat. Beyond the looks, it is very functional.

Yeah, I'd guess the whole system will be pretty pricey, I suppose I'll find out later this summer!

I have HPC coat all of our exhaust systems. Not too spendy, $400-$500 for a complete system inside and out. Their work is exceptional.

Just saw this post today....looks great Jason!

Very NICE! I love the way your tips exit. Great job Jason
