My new nightstand lamp.
I am going to change the brass to chrome, It needs cleaned up, I need to wire it & get a lamp shade.
But here it is. An LS1 camshaft & a truck harmonic balancer. http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...8883214_n1.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...0952915_n1.jpg http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/f...3748310_n1.jpg |

The lampshade should be made from some thin sheetmetal with a rivet old school theme
|
Air filters work really well for that.

There is a thread over on ls1 tech, that has many, many pages of unbelievably cool re-purposed automotive parts. My favorite is the aluminum block LS coffee table.
|
Haha! Nifty! Going to put some sort of 'shade' on it?

OMG I got a good chuckle out of that comment!! TIMING GEARS and Chain are the only appropriate thing to be made into a shade... |
