I had just stumbled on this terrible news and was reading on line! What a shame to be able to go thru all he has done on the track - only to be injured skiing.

We had a 38 year old Mom die here (Sun Valley) last year. It doesn't seem right that you can die while just enjoying a day on the slopes... but it happens!

I just saw this in open discussion here, sad.

I was a witness with a ski (actually snow board) death here in Tahoe a few years back. I was first to report it to the ski patrol (i was just above him on a low slow lift)...sux, but you can die watching tv too...

he was in the news last week. think i saw it on cnn. he's still in a drug induced coma but his publicist said there was moments of conscienceness. thats what i interpitted.

I have a Good Friend that is a Famous Surgeon (& Race Driver) and he told me that he does not think that Michael will survive - that too much time has elapsed.

My only Connection with Michael - being on the Same Page of Autoweek as him (I'm in the VW Beetle Prototype - I was a VW Audi Test Driver)
