Barrett-Jackson roll call

I have read about a few of us heading to Scottsdale in a couple of weeks for Barrett-Jackson, and thought I would do a post and see who all is going. Weather selling, buying, or spectating.

Selling: Wednesday evening during "prime-time".http://www.barrett-jackson.com/appli...ln=499&aid=525

gray776 01-02-2014 08:23 AM

I will be there Friday and Saturday as a spectator. This is my first time.

Jason

WILWAXU 01-02-2014 11:00 AM

I will be there for the whole week, flying in from Japan.

A close friend is selling this stunning Studebaker:

Bitchen looking stude!! Looks like he is going a little before me. Travel safe.

Steve Chryssos 01-03-2014 09:35 AM

That is one angry Stude! Very nice.

I will be there representing Barrett-Jackson as an Automotive Specialist. My job is to travel around the countryside looking for quality cars to consign. If anyone is at Scottsdale, feel free to look me up. I will likely be in the future events booth.

Remember that Westworld has been completely revamped to keep up with the growth of Barrett-Jackson, so get to know the new layout with the help of this map.
http://www.barrett-jackson.com/pdf/s...14_sitemap.pdf

Also if anyone is interested in selling their car, feel free to get a hold of me. You'll be thoroughly impressed with the consignment process. We start with a no obligation application that gives you a good idea of your car's value without committing. Email me at:

schryssos AT barrett-jackson.com

Happy New Year
Steve

Thanks for the heads up on the layout Steve. Sounds like you have an interesting gig looking for cars. Where is the future events booth located? I may come by and say Hi.

Got her loaded up and ready to head out.... Kind of wierd feeling, getting the "first time auction" jitters.

The Studebaker posted above (#441) goes through Wednesday ~ afternoon/evening.

Brets "FF33" & "the wifey's goat" ___________?

The wifeys goat...that is awesome. The wifey will be in Scottsdale but absolutely refuses to go on stage with car. Guess ill have to look for a rentablonde to accompany me and the car on the auction block :)

Not much discussion about the GTO, but this is a bitchin car. Cool, fun, fast, drive anywhere. Kickass paint, sharp handling, great ride...probably the best road car I've ever had (so far:)
Whoever buys it will be able to drive it home anywhere in the country.

Did you ever actually get to track that car John??

parsonsj 01-14-2014 03:03 PM

Sure did. Once at Road Atlanta, and many times around here at the local autocross. I also took it to Pigeon Forge where Kyle drove the car faster than any of his own cars.

parsonsj 01-14-2014 03:12 PM

I believe Kyle is driving the car in this photo:

Nice! I just couldn't recall reading anything about it's track exploits.

Yeah - it's there somewhere! Charley sent me photos of it. Should be inside the "main" building I think. The guy selling it (Mark Young) is a BIG BJ dealer.... so he usually has some pretty prime spots. Mark is a buddy -- in fact he got married here in Sun Valley - and we took them to dinner for their 7th anniversary here this summer. He's set several world record sales prices for cars he's run. I bought the '32 Ford from him here - after he bought it at the auction here in Sun Valley -- then once I got it home - then I decided to have it all torn apart and built a new car out of it.

Well let's look at it a different way... isn't it better that a guy CAN do that? I did it because I wanted to... and could afford to. I know you know that and you're just yanking my chain.

If truth be known - I could have started from scratch and it would have been cheaper and the outcome might have been better ('cause I'd have done a fresh build with The Briz - not the idiot). LOL

I like his financial examples of how expensive it really is to meet your wants (not needs) and do it right. Not that "needs" are inexpensive. I've been know to slip a few wants in the needs category in the past. :sieg:

Added a couple more pictures to my slideshow. Crowd seems to have tripled today.

You'll have to excuse the heavy amount of Saleen pictures.. they are for a friend.
