I've been lurking here for a long time, I thought it was time to join.

Some of you might know me from other boards.

I'm Don, I've been working on cars since the 60's. Worked for many years as a GM tech at dealerships.

I had a small performance shop that specialized in Chevy, but we did almost anything. I'm now "retired".

Anyway, my 2 cars now are a 67 RS/SS convertible and a 70 RS.

My folks lived in Scottsdale...how does the weather compare in Payson?

Payson is about 75 miles NE of Scottsdale. We are at 5000 feet elevation on the "Rim", so it's usually about 10-15 degrees cooler here. It will snow from time to time, but it melts quickly.

It's been pretty nice lately with temps in the 60's.

Problem area. The headers wouldn't clear the steering shaft, had to send them up to Seattle for mods that turned out great.

Ended up breaking 4 exhaust rockers. They were good at getting me replacements real quickly...all 16 were changed out.
