67 Mustang HPDE/ Open track project

I just picked up a 67 T code coupe that im going to modify for HPDE and open track days, maybe TT with NASA at some point...

I was going to pull all the Grigs and MM suspension bits out of my 94 track car, but after doing some reasearch, I belive just using a modified stock set up will be better.. using products from Opentracker, Street and Track and the like. I am open to suggestions always..

Drive train was pulled from my 94 track car and consists of an aluminium headed 347 stroker backed by a TKO600 and an aluminium drive shaft..

As for the exterior.. I do want to run massivly wide tires and big fender flares..It is just the look i like

Interior will sport a full roll cage with two seats thats it...

Here some pics of the starting point.

FYI here is my old 66 Trans Am style coupe, 351/Toploader, 9 inch with a panard bar and up front had the shelby drop suspension , Koni shocks with disc brakes .. big flares, with period correct wheels..That I sold

Here is the look I am going for on my 67 coupe. I like flares and wheel size ..(I know it is an earlier Fastback )

That front tire is huge!

Nice project. I'm interested to see how it turns out.

meh, you don't need to put all that weight back on. Box it off, close off the cowl vents and weld it back on. More room for cool stuff under there. Like the back of the engine. :D

As far as a double hump oil Pam, I think you'll have clearance issues in the back of the pan. Killer project by the way. I can't wait to see the finished product.
